حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ الْعَبْسِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَا آدَمُ فَيَقُولُ لَبَّيْکَ وَسَعْدَيْکَ وَالْخَيْرُ فِي يَدَيْکَ قَالَ يَقُولُ أَخْرِجْ بَعْثَ النَّارِ قَالَ وَمَا بَعْثُ النَّارِ قَالَ مِنْ کُلِّ أَلْفٍ تِسْعَ مِائَةٍ وَتِسْعَةً وَتِسْعِينَ قَالَ فَذَاکَ حِينَ يَشِيبُ الصَّغِيرُ وَتَضَعُ کُلُّ ذَاتِ حَمْلٍ حَمْلَهَا وَتَرَی النَّاسَ سُکَارَی وَمَا هُمْ بِسُکَارَی وَلَکِنَّ عَذَابَ اللَّهِ شَدِيدٌ قَالَ فَاشْتَدَّ عَلَيْهِمْ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَيُّنَا ذَلِکَ الرَّجُلُ فَقَالَ أَبْشِرُوا فَإِنَّ مِنْ يَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ أَلْفًا وَمِنْکُمْ رَجُلٌ قَالَ ثُمَّ قَالَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنِّي لَأَطْمَعُ أَنْ تَکُونُوا رُبُعَ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ فَحَمِدْنَا اللَّهَ وَکَبَّرْنَا ثُمَّ قَالَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنِّي لَأَطْمَعُ أَنْ تَکُونُوا ثُلُثَ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ فَحَمِدْنَا اللَّهَ وَکَبَّرْنَا ثُمَّ قَالَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنِّي لَأَطْمَعُ أَنْ تَکُونُوا شَطْرَ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ إِنَّ مَثَلَکُمْ فِي الْأُمَمِ کَمَثَلِ الشَّعْرَةِ الْبَيْضَائِ فِي جِلْدِ الثَّوْرِ الْأَسْوَدِ أَوْ کَالرَّقْمَةِ فِي ذِرَاعِ الْحِمَارِ
صحیح مسلم · Hadith 532
Abdullah b Mas'ud reported: The Messenger of Allah ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) addressed us and then supported his back (by reclining) against a leather tent and said: Behold, no one but a believing person would enter Paradise. O Allah, (see) have I conveyed (it not)? 0 Allah, be witness (to it that I have conveyed it). (Then addressing the companions) he said: Don't you like that you should constitute one-fourth of the inhabitants of Paradise? We said: Yes, Messenger of Allah. He again said: Don't you like that you should constitute one-third of the inhabitants of Paradise? They said: Yes, Messenger of Allah. He said: I hope that you would constitute one- half of the inhabitants of Paradise and you would be among the peoples of the world, like a black hair on (the body of) a white ox or like a white hair on the body of a black ox.
