حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَی بْنُ يَحْيَی التَّمِيمِيُّ وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ کِلَاهُمَا عَنْ جَرِيرٍ قَالَ يَحْيَی أَخْبَرَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرًا يَقُولُا سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ بَيْنَ الرَّجُلِ وَبَيْنَ الشِّرْکِ وَالْکُفْرِ تَرْکَ الصَّلَاةِ

A'mash narrated this hadith with the same chain of transmitters, with this change of words that he (the Satan) said: I disobeyed and I am doomed to Hell.
