حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ عَنْ يَحْيَی عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا شَرِبَ أَحَدُکُمْ فَلَا يَتَنَفَّسْ فِي الْإِنَائِ وَإِذَا بَالَ أَحَدُکُمْ فَلَا يَمْسَحْ ذَکَرَهُ بِيَمِينِهِ وَإِذَا تَمَسَّحَ أَحَدُکُمْ فَلَا يَتَمَسَّحْ بِيَمِينِهِ

Narrated Thumama bin `Abdullah: Anas used to breathe twice or thrice in the vessel (while drinking) and used to say that the Prophet; used to take three breaths while drinking.
