وَقَالَتْ زَيْنَبُ: سَمِعْتُ أُمِّي أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ تَقُولُ: جَاءَتِ امْرَأَةٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، إِنَّ ابْنَتِي تُوُفِّيَ عَنْهَا زَوْجُهَا، وَقَدِ اشْتَكَتْ عَيْنَهَا، أَفَنَكْحِلُهَا؟ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لا» ، مَرَّتَيْنِ أَوْ ثَلاثًا. كُلُّ ذَلِكَ يَقُولُ: «لا» ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: «إِنَّمَا هِيَ أَرْبَعَةُ أَشْهُرٍ وَعَشْرٌ، وَقَدْ كَانَتْ إِحْدَاكُنَّ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ تَرْمِي بِالْبَعْرَةِ عَلَى رَأْسِ الْحَوْلِ» . قَالَتْ زَيْنَبُ: كَانَتِ الْمَرْأَةُ إِذَا تُوُفِّيَ عَنْهَا زَوْجُهَا، دَخَلَتْ حِفْشًا، وَلَبِسَتْ شَرَّ ثِيَابِهَا، وَلَمْ تَمَسَّ طِيبًا وَلا شَيْئًا حَتَّى تَمُرَّ بِهَا سَنَةٌ، ثُمَّ تُؤْتَى بِدَابَّةٍ أَوْ حِمَارٍ أَوْ شَاةٍ أَوْ طَيْرٍ فَتَقْبِضُ بِهِ، فَقَلَّمَا تَقْبِضُ بِشَيْءٍ إِلا مَاتَ، ثُمَّ تَخْرُجُ، فَتُعْطَى بَعْرَةً فَتَرْمِي بِهَا، ثُمَّ تُرَاجِعُ بَعْدَهُ مَا شَاءَتْ مِنَ الطِّيبِ أَوْ غَيْرِهِ. قَالَ الشَّافِعِيُّ: الْحِفْشُ: الْبَيْتُ الصَّغِيرُ الذَّلِيلُ مِنَ الشَّعَرِ وَالْبِنَاءِ وَغَيْرِهِ. وَالْقَبْصُ: أَنْ تَأْخُذَ مِنَ الدَّابَّةِ مَوْضِعًا بِأَطْرَافِ أَصَابِعِهَا. وَالْقَبْضُ: الأَخْذُ بِالْكَفِّ كُلِّهَا.

Zainab: I heard my mother Umm Salamah said: A woman came to the Prophet, peace be upon him said: O Messenger of Allah, my daughter died of her husband, has complained about the same, Ovenkhlha?
