أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ، أَظُنُّهُ، عَنْ هِلالِ بْنِ أَبِي مَيْمُونَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي مَيْمُونَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَيَّرَ غُلامًا بَيْنَ أَبِيهِ وَأُمِّهِ.
مسند امام شافی · Hadith 1220
Tell us Shafei may Allah be pleased with him, he said: Tell us the son Uyaynah, Ziad bin Said, Abu Mohammed said, I think, about Hilal bin Abi auspicious, from Abu auspicious, from Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him: that the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him the good boy between His father and mother.
