أَخْبَرَنَا الثَّقَفِيُّ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنِ ابْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ عَبِيدَةَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي هَذِهِ الآيَةِ: {وَإِنْ خِفْتُمْ شِقَاقَ بَيْنِهِمَا فَابْعَثُوا حَكَمًا مِنْ أَهْلِهِ وَحَكَمًا مِنْ أَهْلِهَا} [النساء: 35] . قَالَ: جَاءَ رَجُلٌ وَامْرَأَةٌ إِلَى عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، وَمَعَ كُلِّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا فِئَامٌ مِنَ النَّاسِ، فَأَمَرَهُمْ عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ فَبَعَثُوا حَكَمًا مِنْ أَهْلِهِ وَحَكَمًا مِنْ أَهْلِهَا، ثُمَّ قَالَ لِلْحَكَمَيْنِ: تَدْرِيَانِ مَا عَلَيْكُمَا إِنْ رَأَيْتُمَا أَنْ تَجْمَعَا وَإِنْ رَأَيْتُمَا أَنْ تُفَرِّقَا، قَالَ: قَالَتِ الْمَرْأَةُ: رَضِيتُ بِكِتَابِ اللَّهِ بِمَا عَلَيَّ فِيهِ وَلِي. وَقَالَ الرَّجُلُ: أَمَّا الْفُرْقَةُ فَلا، فَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ: كَذَبْتَ وَاللَّهِ حَتَّى تُقِرَّ بِمِثْلِ الَّذِي أَقَرَّتْ بِهِ.

Al-Thaqafi told us, on the authority of Ayub, on the authority of Ibn Sirin, on the authority of Ubaydah that he said in this verse: {And if Shaqqah amongst them is hidden from them, He said: A man and a woman came to Ali may Allah be pleased with him, and with each one of them Viam people, Vomarham Ali may Allah be pleased with him Fbosoa judgment of his family and judgment of her family, and then said provisions: Tdrian what you both said Roeetma that rally though Roeetma that dispersed, he said: The woman said: I am satisfied with the Book of God with what I have in me. And the man said: As for the group, no, Ali said, may God be pleased with him, said: I lied to God until you acknowledge the likeness of the one who is worthless.
