أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تُوُفِّيَ عَنْ تِسْعِ نِسْوَةٍ، وَكَانَ يَقْسِمُ لِثَمَانٍ.

Tell us Shafei may Allah be pleased with him, said: Tell us Muslim bin Khalid, son of Greg, tender, Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him: that the Prophet, peace be upon him, died about nine wives, and was divided to eight.
