أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ السَّخْتِيَانِيِّ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ: أَنَّ عُمَرَ نَذَرَ أَنْ يَعْتَكِفَ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَسَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَعْتَكِفَ فِي الإِسْلامِ.أَخْرَجَهُ مِنْ كِتَابِ الْعِيدَيْنِ.

Tell us Shafei may Allah be pleased with him, he said: Tell us Sufian, Ayoub Alschtiyanj, Nafie, from Ibn 'Umar: that Omar vows to I'tikaaf in ignorance, he asked the Prophet peace be upon him ordered him to retire into Alasalam.okhrjh from the book of Eid.
