حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّ د’‘قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُالْوَارِثِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِالْعَزِیْذِ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ؓ قَالَ:قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللہِ ﷺ ((إِذَا دَعوَتْمُ اللہَ فَاعْزِ مُوْافِيِ الدُّعَاءِ، وَلَا یَقُوْلَنَّ أَحَدُکُمْ: اإِنْ شِسْتَ فَأَ عْطِیِنْی ،فَانَّ اللہَ لَا مُسْتکُرِہَ لَہُ))

Anas reported that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "When you call on Allah, be definite in your supplication. None of you should say, 'If You will, give it to me.' No one can force Allah."
