أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا الثَّقَفِيُّ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ: أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ سَأَلَهُ: إِذَا حَاصَرْتُمُ الْمَدِينَةَ كَيْفَ تَصْنَعُونَ؟ قَالَ: نَبْعَثُ الرَّجُلَ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ، وَنَصْنَعُ لَهُ هَنَةً مِنْ جُلُودٍ، قَالَ: أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ رُمِيَ بِحَجَرٍ؟ قَالَ: إِذًا يُقْتَلُ، قَالَ: فَلا تَفْعَلُوا، وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ مَا يَسُرُّنِي أَنْ تَفْتَحُوا مَدِينَةً فِيهَا أَرْبَعَةُ آلافِ مُقَاتِلٍ بِتَضْيِيعِ رَجُلٍ مُسْلِمٍ.
مسند امام شافی · Hadith 1738
Tell us Shafei may Allah be pleased with him, he said: Tell us Althagafi, Hamid, Musa ibn Anas ibn Malik that Omar ibn al-Khattab may Allah be pleased with him asked him: If Hasrtm city How do you do? He said: We send the man to the city, and we make him a hell of skins. He said: Did you see if I threw a stone? He said: When he is killed, he said: Do not do that, and my soul has in my hand what a pleasure for me to open a city in which four thousand million dirhams are born.
