أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، يَعْنِي: ابْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ الصَّعْبِ بْنِ جَثَّامَةَ اللَّيْثِيِّ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ عَنْ أَهْلِ الدَّارِ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ يَبِيتُونَ فَيُصَابُ مِنْ نِسَائِهِمْ وَأَبْنَائِهِمْ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «هُمْ مِنْهُمْ» ، وَرُبَّمَا قَالَ سُفْيَانُ فِي الْحَدِيثِ: «هُمْ مِنْ آبَائِهِمْ» . أَخْرَجَ الأَوَّلَ مِنْ كِتَابِ الرِّسَالَةِ وَالثَّانِيَ مِنْ كِتَابِ قِتَالِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ.
