أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الآيَةِ: {إِنْ يَكُنْ مِنْكُمْ عِشْرُونَ صَابِرُونَ يَغْلِبُوا مِائَتَيْنِ} [الأنفال: 65] ، فَكَتَبَ عَلَيْهِمْ أَلا يَفِرَّ الْعِشْرُونَ مِنَ الْمِائَتَيْنِ، فَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى: {الآنَ خَفَّفَ اللَّهُ عَنْكُمْ وَعَلِمَ أَنَّ فِيكُمْ ضَعْفًا فَإِنْ يَكُنْ مِنْكُمْ مِائَةٌ صَابِرَةٌ يَغْلِبُوا مِائَتَيْنِ} [الأنفال: 66] فَخَفَّفَ عَنْهُمْ وَكَتَبَ عَلَيْهِمْ أَلا تَفِرَّ مِائَةٌ مِنْ مِائَتَيْنِ.
مسند امام شافی · Hadith 1729
Tell us Shafei may Allah be pleased with him, said: Tell us Sufian, Amr ibn Dinar from Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, said: When this verse was revealed: {if not twenty amongst you, patient and persevering, they will vanquish two hundred [Anfal: 65], he wrote them not to flee twenty Of the two hundred, God Almighty revealed: {Now God has relieved you of you. Knowing that there are twice as many of you among you: for one hundred of you are stubborn. Matters not to flee from one hundred two hundred.
