أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَهْلٍ: أَنَّ سَهْلَ بْنَ أَبِي حَثْمَةَ أَخْبَرَهُ، وَرِجَالٌ مِنْ كُبَرَاءِ قَوْمِهِ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِحُوَيِّصَةَ وَمُحَيِّصَةَ وَعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ: «تَحْلِفُونَ وَتَسْتَحِقُّونَ دَمَ صَاحِبِكُمْ» ، قَالُوا: لا. قَالَ: «فَتَحْلِفُ يَهُودُ» .

Tell us Malik ibn Anas, Ibn Abi Layla bin Abdullah bin Abd al-Rahman ibn Sahl: that Sahl ibn Abi Hathmah told him, and the men of the elders of his people: that the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him said Haouissa and Mahash Abdul Rahman: «Thlfon and deserve the blood of your companion», They said: No. He said, "So the Jews swore an oath."
