أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مُسْلِمٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ أَظُنُّهُ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَعْلَى بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ، عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ، قَالَ: غَزَوْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غَزْوَةً، قَالَ: وَكَانَ يَعْلَى يَقُولُ: وَكَانَتْ تِلْكَ الْغَزْوَةُ أَوْثَقَ عَمَلِي فِي نَفْسِي. قَالَ عَطَاءٌ: قَالَ صَفْوَانُ: قَالَ يَعْلَى: كَانَ لِي أَجِيرٌ فَقَاتَلَ إِنْسَانًا، فَعَضَّ أَحَدُهُمَا يَدَ الآخَرِ فَانْتَزَعَ يَعْنِي الْمَعْضُوضُ يَدَهُ مِنْ فِي الْعَاضِّ، فَذَهَبَتْ إِحْدَى ثَنِيَّتَيْهِ فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَهْدَرَ ثَنِيَّتَهُ. قَالَ عَطَاءٌ: وَحَسِبْتُ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أَيَدَعُ يَدَهُ فِي فِيكَ تَقْضَمُهَا كَأَنَّهَا فِي فَحْلٍ يَقْضَمُهَا» . قَالَ عَطَاءٌ: وَقَدْ أَخْبَرَنِي صَفْوَانُ أَيَّهُمَا عَضَّ فَنَسِيتُهُ.

Tell us Shafei may Allah be pleased with him, said: Tell us a Muslim, son of Greg I think, for a tender, Safwan bin mounted bin illiteracy, Ya'la bin illiteracy, he said: Gzot with the Prophet peace be upon him foray, he said, was second to none say: Those were The foray is the most intense of my work in my soul. Ata said: Safwan said he mounted: I had footman Vqatl man, Fd one hand the other hand Vantzaa means bitten in the Biter, I went to one of Tnite came the Prophet peace be upon him Vohdr Tnath. Ataa said: I reckon that he said: The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “I will leave his hand in you, so that it will be torn as well.” Ataa said: Safwan told me which one I forgot, I forgot it.
