أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ صَدَقَةَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، قَالَ: أَرْسَلْنَا إِلَى سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ نَسْأَلُهُ عَنْ دِيَةِ الْيَهُودِيِّ وَالنَّصْرَانِيِّ، فَقَالَ سَعِيدٌ: قَضَى فِيهِ عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ بِأَرْبَعَةِ آلافٍ.

مسند امام شافی · Hadith 1656

Tell us Sufian bin appointment, for charity bin left, he said: we sent to Said bin Musayyib ask about the Jewish and Christian friendly, happy, he said: Othman bin Affan may Allah be pleased with him where he spent four thousand.
