أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ عَلِيًّا: هَلْ عِنْدَكُمْ مِنَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَيْءٌ سِوَى الْقُرْآنِ؟ فَقَالَ: لا وَالَّذِي فَلَقَ الْحَبَّةَ وَبَرَأَ النَّسَمَةَ إِلا أَنْ يُؤْتَى عَبْدٌ فَهْمًا فِي الْقُرْآنِ وَمَا فِي الصَّحِيفَةِ، قُلْتُ: وَمَا فِي الصَّحِيفَةِ، قَالَ: «الْعَقْلُ وَفَكَاكُ الأَسِيرِ، وَلا يُقْتَلُ مُؤْمِنٌ بِكَافِرٍ» .

Sufyan bin Aynah told us on the authority of al-Sha`bi, on the authority of Abu Jahifah, on the authority of Abu Juhaifa, who said: I asked him: Do you have any of them?
