أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ حَاطِبٍ: أَنَّ رَقِيقًا لِحَاطِبٍ سَرَقُوا نَاقَةً لِرَجُلٍ مِنْ مُزَيْنَةَ فَانْتَحَرُوهَا، فَرُفِعَ ذَلِكَ إِلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، فَأَمَرَ كَثِيرَ بْنَ الصَّلْتِ أَنْ يَقْطَعَ أَيْدِيَهُمْ، ثُمَّ قَالَ عُمَرُ: إِنِّي أَرَاكَ تُجِيعُهُمْ، وَاللَّهِ لأُغَرِّمَنَّكَ غُرْمًا يَشُقُّ عَلَيْكَ، ثُمَّ قَالَ لِلْمُزَنِيِّ: كَمْ ثَمَنُ نَاقَتِكَ؟ قَالَ: أَرْبَعُ مِائَةِ دِرْهَمٍ. قَالَ عُمَرُ: أَعْطِهِ ثَمَانَ مِائَةِ دِرْهَمٍ.
مسند امام شافی · Hadith 1592
Tell us Shafei may Allah be pleased with him, said: Tell us Malik from Hisham ibn Urwa from his father, Yahya bin Abdul Rahman bin Haatib: that the slaves of Hatib stole a camel for a man of decorated Vanthroha, he raised it to Omar ibn al-Khattab may Allah be pleased with him, and ordered many Ben Praying that their hands be cut off, then Omar said: I have seen you starving them, and God has fined you a fine that is so hard for you, then he said: Then he said? He said: Four hundred dirhams. Omar said: Give him eight hundred dirhams.
