أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ: أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ خَرَجَ فَصَلَّى عَلَى جِنَازَةٍ، فَسَمِعَهُ السَّائِبُ يَقُولُ: إِنِّي وَجَدْتُ مَعَ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ وَأَصْحَابِهِ رِيحَ الشَّرَابِ، وَأَنَا سَائِلٌ عَمَّا شَرِبُوا، فَإِنْ كَانَ مُسْكِرًا حَدَدْتُهُمْ. قَالَ: قَالَ سُفْيَانُ: فَأَخْبَرَنِي مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ: أَنَّهُ حَضَرَهُ يَحُدُّهُمْ.

Tell us Sufian, syphilis, for bulk bin Yazid: that Omar ibn al-Khattab may Allah be pleased with him came out and prayed at the funeral, heard him say Saa'ib: I found with the servants of Allah and his companions wind drink, I drank what means, it was identified intoxicant. Sufyan said: Muammar told me about Al-Zuhri about Al-Saieb bin Yazid: that he was present and he bordered them.
