حَدَّثَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ: أَنَّ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ جَلَدَ الْوَلِيدَ بِسَوْطٍ لَهُ طَرَفَانِ. أَخْرَجَهُ مِنْ كِتَابِ الأَشْرِبَةِ.

مسند امام شافی · Hadith 1564

Tell us Shafei may Allah be pleased with him, he said: Tell us Sufian bin appointment, Amr ibn Dinar, from Abu Jaafar Mohammed bin Ali: Ali bin Abi Talib, may Allah be pleased with him skin his newborn whip parties. Take it out of the book of soup.
