أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «لا تَنْبِذُوا فِي الدُّبَّاءِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ» . قَالَ: ثُمَّ يَقُولُ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ: وَاجْتَنِبُوا الْحَنَاتِمَ وَالنَّقِيرَ.

Sufyan told us, on the authority of Al-Zuhri, on the authority of Abu Salamah, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him: that the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: He said: Then Abu Huraira says: Avoid the tenderness and the bastard.
