حَدَّثَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ، عَنْ وَاقِدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ، وَعَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَوْفِ بْنِ سَلامَةَ أَخْبَرَاهُ، عَنْ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ لَبِيدٍ الأَنْصَارِيِّ: أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ حِينَ قَدِمَ الشَّامَ، فَشَكَا إِلَيْهِ أَهْلُ الشَّامِ وَبَالَ الأَرْضِ وَثِقَلَهَا، وَقَالُوا: لا يُصْلِحُنَا إِلا هَذَا الشَّرَابُ. فَقَالَ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ: اشْرَبُوا الْعَسَلَ. فَقَالُوا: لا يُصْلِحُنَا الْعَسَلُ. فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الأَرْضِ: هَلْ لَكَ أَنْ نَجْعَلَ مِنْ هَذَا الشَّرَابِ شَيْئًا لا يُسْكِرُ؟ فَقَالَ: نَعَمْ، فَطَبَخُوهُ حَتَّى ذَهَبَ مِنْهُ الثُّلُثَانِ، وَبَقِيَ الثُّلُثُ، فَأَتَوْا بِهِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، فَأَدْخَلَ عُمَرُ فِيهِ إِصْبَعَهُ ثُمَّ رَفَعَ يَدَهُ، فَتَبِعَهَا يَتَمَطَّطُ فَقَالَ: هَذَا الطِّلاءُ هَذَا مِثْلُ طِلاءِ الإِبِلِ. فَأَمَرَهُمْ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنْ يَشْرَبُوهُ. فَقَالَ لَهُ عُبَادَةُ بْنُ الصَّامِتِ: أَحْلَلْتَهَا وَاللَّهِ. فَقَالَ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ: كَلا وَاللَّهِ، اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي لا أُحِلُّ لَهُمْ شَيْئًا حَرَّمْتَهُ عَلَيْهِمْ، وَلا أُحَرِّمُ عَلَيْهِمْ شَيْئًا أَحْلَلْتَهُ لَهُمْ. أَخْرَجَهُ مِنْ كِتَابِ الأَشْرِبَةِ.

Tell us Shafei may Allah be pleased with him, said: Tell us the owner, for David the son of the hippocampus, for Waked bin Amr bin Said bin forbid, and Salamah ibn Auf bin Salama told him, Mahmoud ibn Labid Al-Ansari: Omar ibn al-Khattab may Allah be pleased with him when he presented the Sham, So the Levant people complained to him about the earth and its weight, and they said: We can only be fit with this drink. Umar, may God be pleased with him, said: Drink honey. They said: honey does not fix us. Then a man from the people of the earth said: Can you make this drink something intoxicating? He said: Yes, it went Aftbkhuh even two-thirds, and remained a third, and they brought him Omar may Allah be pleased with him, enter the age in which his finger and then raised his hand, Vtbaha Eetmtt said: This paint like this camel coating. Umar, may God be pleased with him, commanded them to drink it. Abadah ibn al-Samit told him: “Is it permissible for her and for God.” Umar, may God be pleased with him, said: No, by God, may I not give them something that I have forbidden them, and I will not forbid them. Take it out of the book of soup.
