أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ سَعْدٍ الْجَارِيِّ أَوْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ مَوْلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ: أَنَّ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: مَا نَصَارَى الْعَرَبِ أَهْلَ كِتَابٍ، وَمَا تَحِلُّ لَنَا ذَبَائِحُهُمْ، وَمَا أَنَا بِتَارِكِهِمْ حَتَّى يُسْلِمُوا أَوْ أَضْرِبَ أَعْنَاقَهُمْ.
مسند امام شافی · Hadith 1532
Tell us Shafei may Allah be pleased with him, said: Tell us Ibrahim bin Mohammed, Abdullah bin Dinar, Saad current or Abdullah bin Saad Mawla Omar ibn al-Khattab: that Omar may Allah be pleased with him, said: What the Arab Christians of the people of the book, and solve our sacrifices And I don’t leave them until they surrender or smite their necks.
