قَالَ الشَّافِعِيُّ فِي كِتَابِهِ: أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي إِدْرِيسَ، عَنْ أَبِي ثَعْلَبَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ.

Al-Shafi’i said in his book: Sufyan told us about Al-Zuhri, on the authority of Abu Idris, on the authority of Abu Thalaba, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace.
