أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي فُدَيْكٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «لا سَبْقَ إِلا فِي نَصْلٍ أَوْ حَافِرٍ أَوْ خُفٍّ» .

Tell us Shafei may Allah be pleased with him, he said: Tell us Ibn Abi Vedic, Ibn Abi wolf from Nafi, from Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him: that the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him said: «not previously only in the blade or hoof or sandals».
