أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ زَيْدٍ مَوْلَى الْمُنْبَعِثِ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَسَأَلَهُ عَنِ اللُّقَطَةِ، فَقَالَ: «اعْرِفْ عِفَاصَهَا وَوِكَاءَهَا ثُمَّ عَرِّفْهَا سَنَةً، فَإِنْ جَاءَ صَاحِبُهَا وَإِلا فَشَأْنُكَ بِهَا» .

Tell us Shafei may Allah be pleased with him, said: Tell us Malik from Rabia ibn Abi Abd al-Rahman, Zayd sire emitted from Zayd ibn Khalid Juhani, he said: A man came to the Messenger of Allah peace be upon him, and asks him about the snapshot, he said: «I know He defied her and her worms, then defines them for a year. If their owner comes, or else He will make them miserable for you.
