أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ: أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنِ الْمُزَابَنَةِ. وَالْمُزَابَنَةُ: بَيْعُ التَّمْرِ بِالتَّمْرِ كَيْلا، وَبَيْعُ الْكَرْمِ بِالزَّبِيبِ كَيْلا.

Al-Shafi’i, may God be pleased with him, told us, he said: Malik told us, on the authority of Nafi`, on the authority of Ibn Omar: that the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon God. Al-Muzabanah: Selling dates with dates, and selling vineyards with raisins at all.
