أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّافِعِيُّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَوْسِ بْنِ الْحَدَثَانِ: أَنَّهُ الْتَمَسَ صَرْفًا بِمَائَةِ دِينَارٍ، قَالَ: فَدَعَانِي طَلْحَةُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، فَتَرَاوَضْنَا حَتَّى اصْطَرَفَ مِنِّي، وَأَخَذَ الذَّهَبَ يُقَلِّبُهَا فِي يَدِهِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ خَازِنِي أَوْ حَتَّى تَأْتِيَ خَازِنَتِي مِنَ الْغَابَةِ، قَالَ الشَّافِعِيُّ: أَنَا شَكَكْتُ، وَعُمَرُ يَسْمَعُ، فَقَالَ: عُمَرُ: وَاللَّهِ لا يُفَارِقُهُ حَتَّى يَأْخُذَ مِنْهُ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «الذَّهَبُ بِالذَّهَبِ رِبًا إِلا هَاءَ وَهَاءَ، وَالتَّمْرُ بِالتَّمْرِ رِبًا إِلا هَاءَ وَهَاءَ، وَالشَّعِيرُ بِالشَّعِيرِ رِبًا إِلا هَاءَ وَهَاءَ» . قَالَ الشَّافِعِيُّ: قَرَأْتُهُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ صَحِيحًا لا شَكَّ فِيهِ، ثُمَّ طَالَ عَلَيَّ الزَّمَانُ فَلَمْ أَحْفَظْ حِفْظًا فَشَكَكْتُ فِي خَازِنَتِي أَوْ خَازِنِي وَغَيْرِي يَقُولُ عَنْهُ: خَازِنِي.

Tell us Shafei may Allah be pleased with him, he said: Tell us Malik from Ibn Shihab from Malik ibn Aws bin events: it sought merely a hundred dinars, he said, called me Talha bin Obeid-Allah, Fteraodhana even Asparty me, and took gold turns them in his hand, and then said: Until my treasury comes, or until my treasury comes from the jungle, Al-Shafi’i said: I doubted, and Omar listens, so he said: He said: He said: He said: The Messenger of Allah peace be upon him: «gold in gold Lord only E and E, dates for dates only usury E and E, and barley for barley usury only E and E». Al-Shafi’i said: I read it to a true owner who has no doubts about it. Then, I stayed for a long time, and I did not memorize it, so I disgraced my disgrace.
