حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْفَزَارِيُّ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ بُرْقَانَ عَنْ مَيْمُونِ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ حَفِظْتُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صلی الله عليه وسلم ثَمَانِيَ رَکَعَاتٍ رَکْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ وَرَکْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَهَا وَرَکْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَرَکْعَتَيْنِ بَعْدَ الْعِشَائِ قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ وَحَدَّثَتْنِي حَفْصَةُ بِرَکْعَتَيِ الْغَدَاةِ وَلَمْ أَکُنْ أَرَاهُمَا مِنَ النَّبِيِّ صلی الله عليه وسلم

Ibn 'Umar Radiyallahu 'Anhu says: "I memorised from Rasulullah Sallallahu 'Alayhi Wasallam eight raka-aat; two before zuhr and two after zuhr; two rak'ahs after maghrib and two after 'eshaa". Ibn 'Urnar Radiyallahu'Anhu said.. "Hafsah related to me about the two rak'ahs of the morning, which I did not observe from Rasulullah Sallallahu'Alayhi Wasallam".
