حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْجُرَيْرِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ بَکْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْمُزَنِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلی الله عليه وسلم کَانَ إِذَا عَرَّسَ بِلَيْلٍ اضْطَجَعَ عَلَی شِقِّهِ الأَيْمَنِ وَإِذَا عَرَّسَ قُبَيْلَ الصُّبْحِ نَصَبَ ذِرَاعَهُ وَوَضَعَ رَأْسَهُ عَلَی کَفِّهِ

Abu Qataadah Radiyallahu 'Anhu relates: "If Rasulullah Sallallahu 'Alayhi Wasallam made an early joumey-break in the last portion of the night on his travels, he slept on his right side. If he was staying there till before the morning, he lifted his right arm, put his head on it and slept".
