عَنْ طَارِقِ بْنِ شِھَابٍ، قَالَ: خَرَجْنَا حُجَّاجًا ، فَأَوْطَأَرَجُلٌ مِنَّا ، یُقَالُ لَہُ: إِرْبِدُ ،ظَبْیًا فَفَزَرَ ظَھْرَہُ فَقَدِمْنَا عَلَی عُمَرَ فَسَأَلَہُ إِرْبِدُ، فَقَالَ: احْکُمْ یَا إِرْبِدُ فِیہِ۔ فَقَالَ: أَنْتَ خَیْرٌ مِنِّی یَا أَمِیرَ الْمُؤْمِنِینَ وَأَعْلَمُ ، فَقَالَ لَہُ عُمَرُ : إِنَّمَا أَمَرْتُکَ أَنْ تَحْکُمَ فِیہِ ، وَلَمْ آمُرْکَ أَنْ تُزَکِّیَنِی۔ فَقَالَ إِرْبِدُ: أَرَی فِیہِ جَدْیًا قَدْ جَمَعَ الْمَاءَ وَالشْتَجَرَ۔ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ: فَذَلِکَ فِیہِ۔
