عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللہِإ رَضِیَ اللہُ عَنْہُ ، قَالَ: أَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللہِ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْمَدِینَۃِ رِسْعَ سِنِینَ لَمْ یَحُجَّ ثُمَّ أَذَّنَ فِی النَّاسِ بِالْحَجِّ فَتَدَارَکَ النَّاسُ الْمَدِینَۃَ لِیَخْرُ جُوا مَعَہُ، فَخَرَجَ فَانْطَلَقَ رَسُولُ اللہِ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَانْطَلَقْنَا مِعَہُ لا نَعْرِفُ إِلا الْحَجَّ ، وَلَہُ خَرَجْنَا وَرَسُولُ اللہِ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ بَیْنَ أَطْھُرِنَا یُنَزَّلُ عَلَیْہِ الْقُرْآنُ، وَھُوَ یَعْرِفُ تَأْوِیلَہُ، وَإِنَّمَا یَفْعَلُ مَا أُمِرَ بِہِ فَقَدِ مْنَا مَکَّۃَ فَلَمَّا طَافَ رَسُولُ اللہِ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْبَیْتِ وَبِالصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَۃِ قَالَ:(( مَنْ لَمْ یَکُنْ مَعَہُ ھَدْیٌ فَلْیَجْعَلْھَا عُمْرَۃً فَلَوِ اسْتَقْبَلْتُ مِنْ أَمْرِی مَا اسْتَدْبَرتُ مَا سُقْتُ الْھَدْیَ وَلَجَعَلْتُھَا عُمْرَۃً))۔
مسند امام شافی · Hadith 804
