عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ أَبِیہِ قَالَ: لَمْ یُوَقِّتْ رَسُولُ اللہُ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَاتَ عِرْقٍ، وَلَمْ یَکُن حِینَئِذٍ أَہْلُ مَشْرِقٍ فَوَقَّتَ النَّاسُ ذَاتَ عِرْقٍ۔ قَالَ الشَّافِعِیُّ: وَلا أَحْسِبُہُ إِلا کَمَا قَالَ طَاوُسٌ ، وَاللہُ أَعْلَمُ
مسند امام شافی · Hadith 768
On the authority of Ibn Tawoos, on the authority of Abiہ, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, did not have the same time, nor was there anything wrong with that time. Al-Shafi’i said: I do not reckon except as a peacock said, and God knows best.
