أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِکٌ، عَنْھَا:أَنَھَا قَالَتْ: کَانَ یَوْمُ عَاشُورَاءَ یَومَا تَصُومُہُ قُرَیْشٌ فِی الْجَاھِلِیَّۃِ، وَکَانَ النَّبِیُّ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ یَصُومُہُ فِی الْجَاھِلِیَّۃِ، فَلَمَّا قَدِمَ النَّبِیُّ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمَدِینَۃَ، صَامَہُ وَأَمَرَ بِصِیَامِہِ فَلَمَّا فُرِضَ رَمَضَانُ ھُوَ الْفَرِیضَۃُ، وَتَرَکَ یَوْمَ عَاشُورَاءَ فَمَنْ شَاءَ صَامَہُ، وَمَنْ شَاءَ تَرَکَہُ
