عَنْ عَائِشَۃَ رَضِیَ اللہُ عَنْھَا، أَنَّ حَمْزَۃَ بْنَ عَمرٍو الأَ سْلَمِیَّ، قَالَ: یَارَسُولَ اللہِ، أَصُومُ فِی السَّفَرِ وَکَانَ کَثِیرَ الصِّیَامِ۔ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللہِ صَلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہِ وَسَلَّمَ:((إِنْ شِئْتَ فَصُم وَإِنْ شَئْتَ فَأَفْطِرْ))
مسند امام شافی · Hadith 625
On the authority of Aisha, may God be pleased with her, that Hamzah ibn Amru Al-Salami said: O Messenger of God, I fast on the journey and the rest of the fast The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “If you want schizophrenia, if you like, then break your fast.”
