It was narrated that ‘Abdulláh bin ‘Aim said: “The Messenger of Allah said: ‘Allah has taken me as a close friend (Khalil) as He took Ibrâhim as a close friend. So my house and the house of Ibrâhim will be opposite to one another on the Day of Resurrection, and ‘Abbâs will be in between us, a believer between two close friends.” (Maudu’)

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي يَزِيدَ عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِلْحَسَنِ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أُحِبُّهُ فَأَحِبَّهُ وَأَحِبَّ مَنْ يُحِبُّهُ قَالَ وَضَمَّهُ إِلَی صَدْرِهِ

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet P.B.U.H said to Hasan: “0 Allah, I love him, so love him and love those who love him.” He said: “And he hugged him to his chest.” (Sahih)

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا وَکِيعٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَوْفٍ أَبِي الْجَحَّافِ وَکَانَ مَرْضِيًّا عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ أَحَبَّ الْحَسَنَ وَالْحُسَيْنَ فَقَدْ أَحَبَّنِي وَمَنْ أَبْغَضَهُمَا فَقَدْ أَبْغَضَنِي

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: “The Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H said: ‘Whoever loves Hasan and Husain, loves me; and whoever hates them, hates me.’”

حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ کَاسِبٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَی بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي رَاشِدٍ أَنَّ يَعْلَی بْنَ مُرَّةَ حَدَّثَهُمْ أَنَّهُمْ خَرَجُوا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَی طَعَامٍ دُعُوا لَهُ فَإِذَا حُسَيْنٌ يَلْعَبُ فِي السِّکَّةِ قَالَ فَتَقَدَّمَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَامَ الْقَوْمِ وَبَسَطَ يَدَيْهِ فَجَعَلَ الْغُلَامُ يَفِرُّ هَا هُنَا وَهَا هُنَا وَيُضَاحِکُهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّی أَخَذَهُ فَجَعَلَ إِحْدَی يَدَيْهِ تَحْتَ ذَقْنِهِ وَالْأُخْرَی فِي فَأْسِ رَأْسِهِ فَقَبَّلَهُ وَقَالَ حُسَيْنٌ مِنِّي وَأَنَا مِنْ حُسَيْنٍ أَحَبَّ اللَّهُ مَنْ أَحَبَّ حُسَيْنًا حُسَيْنٌ سِبْطٌ مِنْ الْأَسْبَاطِ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا وَکِيعٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ مِثْلَهُ

It was narrated from Sa’eed bin Abu Râshid that Ya’la bin Murrah told them that they had gone out with the Prophet P.B.U.H to a meal to which they had been invited, and Husain was there playing in the street. The Prophet came in front of the people and stretched out his hands, and the child started to run here and there. The Prophet made him laugh until he caught him, then he put one hand under his chin and the other on his head and kissed him, and said, “Husain is part of me and I am part of him. May Allah love those who love Husain. Husain is a tribe among tribes.” (Hasan) Another chain with similar meaning).

سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي رَاشِدٍ، ← عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ ← يَحْيَى بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ، ← يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ كَاسِبٍ

حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْخَلَّالُ وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو غَسَّانَ حَدَّثَنَا أَسْبَاطُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ عَنْ السُّدِّيِّ عَنْ صُبَيْحٍ مَوْلَی أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَعَلِيٍّ وَفَاطِمَةَ وَالْحَسَنِ وَالْحُسَيْنِ أَنَا سِلْمٌ لِمَنْ سَالَمْتُمْ وَحَرْبٌ لِمَنْ حَارَبْتُمْ

It was narrated that Zaid bin Arqam said: “The Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H said to ‘All, Fâtimah, Hasan and Husain: ‘I am peace for those with whom you make peaces and I am wax for those with whom you make war.” (Da’if)

زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ ← صُبَيْحٍ مَوْلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، ← السُّدِّيِّ ← أَسْبَاطُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، ← أبو غسان، ← الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْخَلَّالُ وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ

حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا وَکِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَقَ عَنْ هَانِئِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ قَالَ کُنْتُ جَالِسًا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَاسْتَأْذَنَ عَمَّارُ بْنُ يَاسِرٍ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ائْذَنُوا لَهُ مَرْحَبًا بِالطَّيِّبِ الْمُطَيَّبِ

It was narrated that ‘Ali bin Abu Tálib said: “I was sitting with the Prophet P.B.U.H and ‘Ammar Bin Yasir asked permission to ter. The Prophet P.B.U.H said: ‘Let in, welcome to the good and purified.’” (Hasan)

عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ← هَانِئِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ، ← أَبِي إِسْحَقَ ← سُفْيَانَ، ← وَكِيعٌ، ← عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ

حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَثَّامُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَقَ عَنْ هَانِئِ بْنِ هَانِيئٍ قَالَ دَخَلَ عَمَّارٌ عَلَی عَلِيٍّ فَقَالَ مَرْحَبًا بِالطَّيِّبِ الْمُطَيَّبِ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مُلِئَ عَمَّارٌ إِيمَانًا إِلَی مُشَاشِهِ

It was narrated that Hâni bin Hani said that Ammar enter upon ‘Ali and he said: Welcome to the good and the purifieded. I heard the Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H say: ‘Ammâr’s heart overflows with faith (Literally: up to the top of his bones.’”

هَانِئِ بْنِ هَانِيئٍ ← أَبِي إِسْحَقَ ← الْاَعْمَشِ ← عَثَّامُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ← نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَکْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَی ح و حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَمْرُو بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَا جَمِيعًا حَدَّثَنَا وَکِيعٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ سِيَاهٍ عَنْ حَبيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ عَنْ عَطَائِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَمَّارٌ مَا عُرِضَ عَلَيْهِ أَمْرَانِ إِلَّا اخْتَارَ الْأَرْشَدَ مِنْهُمَا

It was narrated that ‘Aishah said: ‘The Messenger of Allah p.b.u.h said: “Ammâr — no two things were shown to him but he chose the better of the two.” (Da’if)

عَائِشَةَ ← عَطَائُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ ← حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ ← عَبْدُ العَزِيزِ بْنُ سِيَاهٍ، ← وَكِيعٌ، ← جَمِيعًا؛ ← عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَمْرُو بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ← و، ← عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى ← أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَعِيلُ بْنُ مُوسَی وَسُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيکٌ عَنْ أَبِي رَبِيعَةَ الْإِيَادِيِّ عَنْ ابْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ أَمَرَنِي بِحُبِّ أَرْبَعَةٍ وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَنَّهُ يُحِبُّهُمْ قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَنْ هُمْ قَالَ عَلِيٌّ مِنْهُمْ يَقُولُ ذَلِکَ ثَلَاثًا وَأَبُو ذَرٍّ وَسَلْمَانُ وَالْمِقْدَادُ

Ibn Buraidah narrated that his father said: “The Messenger of Allah p.b.u.h said: ‘Allah has commanded me to love four people, and He told me that He also loves them.’ He was asked: 0 Messenger of Allah, who are hey?’ He said: “Ali is one of them’ and he said that three ‘and Abu Dharr, Salman Miqdâd.”

أَبِيهِ ← ابْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ ← أَبِي رَبِيعَةَ الْإِيَادِيِّ ← شَرِيكٌ، ← إِسْمَعِيلُ بْنُ مُوسَی وَسُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الدَّارِمِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَی بْنُ أَبِي بُکَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا زَائِدَةُ بْنُ قُدَامَةَ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ أَبِي النَّجُودِ عَنْ زِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ کَانَ أَوَّلَ مَنْ أَظْهَرَ إِسْلَامَهُ سَبْعَةٌ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَبُو بَکْرٍ وَعَمَّارٌ وَأُمُّهُ سُمَيَّةُ وَصُهَيْبٌ وَبِلَالٌ وَالْمِقْدَادُ فَأَمَّا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَمَنَعَهُ اللَّهُ بِعَمِّهِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ وَأَمَّا أَبُو بَکْرٍ فَمَنَعَهُ اللَّهُ بِقَوْمِهِ وَأَمَّا سَائِرُهُمْ فَأَخَذَهُمْ الْمُشْرِکُونَ وَأَلْبَسُوهُمْ أَدْرَاعَ الْحَدِيدِ وَصَهَرُوهُمْ فِي الشَّمْسِ فَمَا مِنْهُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلَّا وَقَدْ وَاتَاهُمْ عَلَی مَا أَرَادُوا إِلَّا بِلَالًا فَإِنَّهُ هَانَتْ عَلَيْهِ نَفْسُهُ فِي اللَّهِ وَهَانَ عَلَی قَوْمِهِ فَأَخَذُوهُ فَأَعْطَوْهُ الْوِلْدَانَ فَجَعَلُوا يَطُوفُونَ بِهِ فِي شِعَابِ مَکَّةَ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ أَحَدٌ أَحَدٌ

It was narrated that Abdullah bin Mas’ud said: “The people to declare their Islam publicly were seven: The Messanger of Allah p.b.u.h Abu Bakr, Ammâr and his mother Sumayyah, Suhaib, Bilâl and Miqdâd. With regard to the Messenger of Allah, Allah protected him through his paternal uncle Abu Talib. With regard to Abu Bakr, Allah protected him through his people. As for the rest, the idolaters seized them and made them wear coats of chain-mail and exposed them to the intense heat of the sun. There was none of them who did not do what they wanted them to do, except for Bilâl. He did not care what happened to him for the sake of Allah, and his people did not care what happened to him. Then they gave him to the children, who took him around in the streets of Makkah while he was saying, ‘Mmd, Mmd (One, One).”

عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ← زِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ ← عَاصِمِ بْنِ أَبِي النَّجُودِ، ← زَائِدَةُ بْنُ قُدَامَةَ، ← يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ، ← أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الدَّارِمِيُّ،

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا وَکِيعٌ عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِکٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَقَدْ أُوذِيتُ فِي اللَّهِ وَمَا يُؤْذَی أَحَدٌ وَلَقَدْ أُخِفْتُ فِي اللَّهِ وَمَا يُخَافُ أَحَدٌ وَلَقَدْ أَتَتْ عَلَيَّ ثَالِثَةٌ وَمَا لِي وَلِبِلَالٍ طَعَامٌ يَأْکُلُهُ ذُو کَبِدٍ إِلَّا مَا وَارَی إِبِطُ بِلَالٍ

It was narrated that Anas bin Mâlik said: “The Messenger of Allah p.b.u.h said: ‘I have been tortured for the sake of Allah as no one else has, and I have suffered fear for the sake of Allah as no one else has. I have spent three days when Bilál and I had no food that any living being could eat but that which could be concealed in the armpit of Bilal.’” (Hasan)

اَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِکٍ، ← ثَابِتٍ، ← حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، ← وَكِيعٌ، ← علي بن محمد

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ حَمْزَةَ عَنْ سَالِمٍ أَنَّ شَاعِرًا مَدَحَ بِلَالَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ بِلَالُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ خَيْرُ بِلَالٍ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ کَذَبْتَ لَا بَلْ بِلَالُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ خَيْرُ بِلَالٍ

It was narrated from Sálim that a poet praised Bilal bin ‘Abdullah and said: “BiIâl bin Abdullah is better than any other Bilâl.” Ibn ‘Umar said: ‘You are lying. The Bildl of the Messenger of Allah is better than any other Bilâl.” (Da’if)
