حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ يَحْيَی بْنُ خَلَفٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ حَدَّثَنِي عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِکِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سَالِمَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْکُمْ بِالْإِثْمِدِ فَإِنَّهُ يَجْلُو الْبَصَرَ وَيُنْبِتُ الشَّعَرَ

Salim bin 'Abdullah narrated that his father said: "The Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H said: 'You should use antimony, for it improves the eyesight and makes the hair (eyelashes) grow.": (Hasan)

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَکْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ إِسْمَعِيلَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْکَدِرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ عَلَيْکُمْ بِالْإِثْمِدِ عِنْدَ النَّوْمِ فَإِنَّهُ يَجْلُو الْبَصَرَ وَيُنْبِتُ الشَّعَرَ

It was narrated that Jábir said: “I heard the Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H say: ‘You should use antimony when you go to sleep, for it improves the eyesight and makes the hair (eyelashes) grow.” (Hasan)

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَکْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَی بْنُ آدَمَ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ ابْنِ خُثَيْمٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَيْرُ أَکْحَالِکُمُ الْإِثْمِدُ يَجْلُو الْبَصَرَ وَيُنْبِتُ الشَّعَرَ

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbâs that the Messenger of Allah said: “The best of your kohl is antimony, for it improves the eyesight and makes the hair (eyelashes) grow.” (Hasan)
