حَدَّثَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مُوسَی اللَّيْثِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ أَنْبَأَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ جُدْعَانَ عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَلَا إِنَّهُ يُنْصَبُ لِکُلِّ غَادِرٍ لِوَائٌ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ بِقَدْرِ غَدْرَتِهِ

It was narrated from Abu Sa'eed AI-Khudri that the Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H said: "For every traitor a banner will be set up on the Day of Resurrection, commensurate with his treachery." (Sahih)

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَکْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ الْمُنْکَدِرِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أُمَيْمَةَ بِنْتَ رُقَيْقَةَ تَقُولُ جِئْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي نِسْوَةٍ نُبَايِعُهُ فَقَالَ لَنَا فِيمَا اسْتَطَعْتُنَّ وَأَطَقْتُنَّ إِنِّي لَا أُصَافِحُ النِّسَائَ

Muhammad bin Munkadir said that he heard Umaimah bint Ruqaiqah say: "I came to the Prophet P.B.U.H with some other women, to offer our pledge to him. He said to us: '(I accept your pledge) with regard to what you are able to do. But I do not shake hands with women." (Sahih)

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ السَّرْحِ الْمِصْرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَتْ کَانَتْ الْمُؤْمِنَاتُ إِذَا هَاجَرْنَ إِلَی رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُمْتَحَنَّ بِقَوْلِ اللَّهِ يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ إِذَا جَائَکَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتُ يُبَايِعْنَکَ إِلَی آخِرِ الْآيَةِ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ فَمَنْ أَقَرَّ بِهَا مِنْ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ فَقَدْ أَقَرَّ بِالْمِحْنَةِ فَکَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَقْرَرْنَ بِذَلِکَ مِنْ قَوْلِهِنَّ قَالَ لَهُنَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ انْطَلِقْنَ فَقَدْ بَايَعْتُکُنَّ لَا وَاللَّهِ مَا مَسَّتْ يَدُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدَ امْرَأَةٍ قَطُّ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ يُبَايِعُهُنَّ بِالْکَلَامِ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ وَاللَّهِ مَا أَخَذَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَی النِّسَائِ إِلَّا مَا أَمَرَهُ اللَّهُ وَلَا مَسَّتْ کَفُّ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ کَفَّ امْرَأَةٍ قَطُّ وَکَانَ يَقُولُ لَهُنَّ إِذَا أَخَذَ عَلَيْهِنَّ قَدْ بَايَعْتُکُنَّ کَلَامًا

'Aishah the wife of the Prophet P.B.U.H said: "When the believing women emigrated to the Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H , they wouId be tested in accordance with Allah's saying: '0 Prophet P.B.U.H When believing women come to you to give you the pledge …." 'Aishah said: "Whoever among the believing women affirmed this, passed the test. When they affirmed that, the Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H would say to them: 'Go, for you have given your pledge.' No, by Allah! The hand of the Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H never touched the hand of any woman, rather he accepted their pledge in words only." 'Aishah said: "By Allah, the Messenger of Allah did not demand of women (in their pledge) anything other than that which Allah had commanded, and the hand of the Messenger of Allah never touched the hand of a woman. He would say.. them, when he hhad accepte t eir ledge: 'You ave given your pledge,' verbally." (Sahih)

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَکْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَی قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ أَدْخَلَ فَرَسًا بَيْنَ فَرَسَيْنِ وَهُوَ لَا يَأْمَنُ أَنْ يَسْبِقَ فَلَيْسَ بِقِمَارٍ وَمَنْ أَدْخَلَ فَرَسًا بَيْنَ فَرَسَيْنِ وَهُوَ يَأْمَنُ أَنْ يَسْبِقَ فَهُوَ قِمَارٌ

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever enters a horse (in a race) between two other horses, not ·knowing whether it will win, that is not gambling. But whoever enters a horse (in race) between two other horses, certain that it will win, that is gambling." (Da'if)

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ ضَمَّرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْخَيْلَ فَکَانَ يُرْسِلُ الَّتِي ضُمِّرَتْ مِنْ الْحَفْيَائِ إِلَی ثَنِيَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ وَالَّتِي لَمْ تُضَمَّرْ مِنْ ثَنِيَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ إِلَی مَسْجِدِ بَنِي زُرَيْقٍ

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: "The Messenger of Allah made a horse lean, and he would send the horse that he had made lean from Hafya' to Thaniyyatul-Wadil', and (he would send) the horse that he had not made lean from Thaniyyatul-Wadil' to the Masjid of Banu Zuraiq." (Sahih)

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَکْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِي الْحَکَمِ مَوْلَی بَنِي لَيْثٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا سَبْقَ إِلَّا فِي خُفٍّ أَوْ حَافِرٍ

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H said: "There should be no prizes for racing except races with camels and horses." (Sahih)

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ وَأَبُو عُمَرَ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ عَنْ مَالِکِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَی أَنْ يُسَافَرَ بِالْقُرْآنِ إِلَی أَرْضِ الْعَدُوِّ مَخَافَةَ أَنْ يَنَالَهُ الْعَدُوُّ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H forbade traveling with he Qur'an to the land of the enemy, lest the enemy gets hold fit. (Sahih)

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ أَنْبَأَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ کَانَ يَنْهَی أَنْ يُسَافَرَ بِالْقُرْآنِ إِلَی أَرْضِ الْعَدُوِّ مَخَافَةَ أَنْ يَنَالَهُ الْعَدُوُّ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H used to forbid traveling with the Qur'an to the land of the enemy, lest the enemy gets hold of it. (Sahih)

حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَی حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ بْنُ سُوَيْدٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ أَنَّ جُبَيْرَ بْنَ مُطْعِمٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ جَائَ هُوَ وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَفَّانَ إِلَی رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُکَلِّمَانِهِ فِيمَا قَسَمَ مِنْ خُمُسِ خَيْبَرَ لِبَنِي هَاشِمٍ وَبَنِي الْمُطَّلِبِ فَقَالَا قَسَمْتَ لِإِخْوَانِنَا بَنِي هَاشِمٍ وَبَنِي الْمُطَّلِبِ وَقَرَابَتُنَا وَاحِدَةٌ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّمَا أَرَی بَنِي هَاشِمٍ وَبَنِي الْمُطَّلِبِ شَيْئًا وَاحِدًا

It was narrated from Sa'eed bin Musayyab that jubair bin Mut'im told him that he and 'Uthman bin 'Affan came to the Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H to speak to him about the way in which the one fifth from Khaibar had been distributed to Banu Hashim and Banu Muttalib. They said: "You have distributed it to our brothers Banu Hashim and Banu Muttalib, but we are related to you (to Banu Hashim) in the same way (as Banu Muttalib)." The Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H said: "Rather I think that Banu Hashim and Banu Muttalib are the same. (Sahih)
