حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَکْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي لَبِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ قَالَ سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ عَنْ صَوْمِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَتْ کَانَ يَصُومُ حَتَّی نَقُولَ قَدْ صَامَ وَيُفْطِرُ حَتَّی نَقُولَ قَدْ أَفْطَرَ وَلَمْ أَرَهُ صَامَ مِنْ شَهْرٍ قَطُّ أَکْثَرَ مِنْ صِيَامِهِ مِنْ شَعْبَانَ کَانَ يَصُومُ شَعْبَانَ کُلَّهُ کَانَ يَصُومُ شَعْبَانَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا

It was narrated that Abu Salamah said: "I asked 'Aishah about the fasting of the Prophet P.B.U.H. She said: 'He used to fast until we thought he would always fast. And he used to not fast until we thought he would always not fast. I never saw him fast more in any month than in Sha'ban. He used to fast all of Sha'ban: he used to fast alI of Sha'ban except a little.' " (Sahih)

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ کَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَصُومُ حَتَّی نَقُولَ لَا يُفْطِرُ وَيُفْطِرُ حَتَّی نَقُولَ لَا يَصُومُ وَمَا صَامَ شَهْرًا مُتَتَابِعًا إِلَّا رَمَضَانَ مُنْذُ قَدِمَ الْمَدِينَةَ

It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said: "The Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H used to fast until we thought he would never stop fasting. And he used to not fast until we thought he would never fast. And he never fasted any complete month apart from Ramadan, from the time he came to Al-Madinah." (Sahih)

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَقَ الشَّافِعِيُّ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَمْرَو بْنَ أَوْسٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَحَبُّ الصِّيَامِ إِلَی اللَّهِ صِيَامُ دَاوُدَ فَإِنَّهُ کَانَ يَصُومُ يَوْمًا وَيُفْطِرُ يَوْمًا وَأَحَبُّ الصَّلَاةِ إِلَی اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ صَلَاةُ دَاوُدَ کَانَ يَنَامُ نِصْفَ اللَّيْلِ وَيُصَلِّي ثُلُثَهُ وَيَنَامُ سُدُسَهُ

It was narrated from Abdullah bin' Amr that the Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H said: "The most beloved fast to Allah is the fast of Dawud. for he used to fast one day and not the next And the most beloved of prayer to Allah is the prayer of Dawud: he used to sleep half of the night, pray one-third of the night and sleep onesixth of the night" (Sahih)

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا غَيْلَانُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَعْبَدٍ الزِّمَّانِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ قَالَ قَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ کَيْفَ بِمَنْ يَصُومُ يَوْمَيْنِ وَيُفْطِرُ يَوْمًا قَالَ وَيُطِيقُ ذَلِکَ أَحَدٌ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ کَيْفَ بِمَنْ يَصُومُ يَوْمًا وَيُفْطِرُ يَوْمًا قَالَ ذَلِکَ صَوْمُ دَاوُدَ قَالَ کَيْفَ بِمَنْ يَصُومُ يَوْمًا وَيُفْطِرُ يَوْمَيْنِ قَالَ وَدِدْتُ أَنِّي طُوِّقْتُ ذَلِکَ

It was narrated that Abu Qatadah said: "Umar bin Khattab said: '0 Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H What about a person who fasts two days and does not fast one day?' He said: 'Is anyone able to do that?' He said: '0 Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H What about a person who fasts one day and not the next?' He said: 'That is the fast of Dawud.' He said: 'What about a man who fasts one day and does not fast the next two days?' He said: 'I wish that I were given the ability to do that:" (Sahih)

حَدَّثَنَا سَهْلُ بْنُ أَبِي سَهْلٍ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ عَنْ ابْنِ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي فِرَاسٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ صَامَ نُوحٌ الدَّهْرَ إِلَّا يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ وَيَوْمَ الْأَضْحَی

It Was narrated from Abu Firiis that he heard' Abdullah bin 'Amr say: "I heard the Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H say: '(Prophet) Nuh It was narrated from Thawban, the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H, that the Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H said: "Whoever fasts six days after the Fitr will have completed the year, for whoever does a good deed will have the reward of ten like it." (Sahih)

حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ حَدَّثَنَا صَدَقَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَی بْنُ الْحَارِثِ الذَّمَارِيُّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا أَسْمَائَ الرَّحَبِيَّ عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ مَوْلَی رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَنْ صَامَ سِتَّةَ أَيَّامٍ بَعْدَ الْفِطْرِ کَانَ تَمَامَ السَّنَةِ مَنْ جَائَ بِالْحَسَنَةِ فَلَهُ عَشْرُ أَمْثَالِهَا

It was narrated from Thawban, the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H, that the Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H said: "Whoever fasts six days after the Fitr will have completed the year, for whoever does a good deed will have the reward of ten like it." (Sahih)

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ صَامَ رَمَضَانَ ثُمَّ أَتْبَعَهُ بِسِتٍّ مِنْ شَوَّالٍ کَانَ کَصَوْمِ الدَّهْرِ

It was narrated from Abu Ayyub that the Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H said: "Whoever fasts Ramadan then follows it with six days of Shawwal, it is as if he fasted for a lifetime." (Sahih)

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحِ بْنِ الْمُهَاجِرِ أَنْبَأَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ ابْنِ الْهَادِ عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ أَبِي عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ صَامَ يَوْمًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ بَاعَدَ اللَّهُ بِذَلِکَ الْيَوْمِ النَّارَ مِنْ وَجْهِهِ سَبْعِينَ خَرِيفًا

It was narrated from Abu Sa'eed AI-Khudri that the Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H said: "Whoever fasts one day in the cause of Allah, Allah will keep the Fire away from his face the distance of seventy autumns (years) for that day." (Sahih)

أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، ← النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ أَبِي عَيَّاشٍ ← سُھَیْلِ بْنِ اَبِیْ صَالِحٍ ← ابْنِ الْهَادِ، ← اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ← مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحِ بْنِ الْمُهَاجِرِ

حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ اللَّيْثِيُّ عَنْ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ صَامَ يَوْمًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ زَحْزَحَ اللَّهُ وَجْهَهُ عَنْ النَّارِ سَبْعِينَ خَرِيفًا

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H said: "Whoever fasts one day for the sake of Allah, Allah will move his face away from the Fire a distance of seventy autumns (years)." (Da'if)

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَکْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَيَّامُ مِنًی أَيَّامُ أَکْلٍ وَشُرْبٍ

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah P.BU.H said: "The days of Mina (11th, 12th and 13th of Dhul-Hijjah) are days of eating and drinking:" (Hasan)

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَکْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا وَکِيعٌ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ عَنْ بِشْرِ بْنِ سُحَيْمٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَطَبَ أَيَّامَ التَّشْرِيقِ فَقَالَ لَا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ إِلَّا نَفْسٌ مُسْلِمَةٌ وَإِنَّ هَذِهِ الْأَيَّامَ أَيَّامُ أَکْلٍ وَشُرْبٍ

It was narrated from Bishr bin Suhaim that the Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H deli vered a sermon on the days of Tashriq (11th, 12th and 13th of Dhul-Hijjah) and said: "No one will enter Paradise but a Muslim soul, and these days are the days of eating and drinking." (Sahih)

بِشْرِ بْنِ سُحَيْمٍ: ← نَافِعُ بْنُ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ← حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ ← سُفْيَانَ، ← وَكِيعٌ، ← أَبُو بَکْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَکْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَی بْنُ يَعْلَی التَّيْمِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِکِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ قَزَعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ نَهَی عَنْ صَوْمِ يَوْمِ الْفِطْرِ وَيَوْمِ الْأَضْحَی

It was narrated from Abu Sa'eed that the Messenger of Allah P.B.U.H forbade fasting on the Day of Fitr and the Day of Adha.

اَبِیْ سَعِیْدٍ ← قَزَعَةَ ← عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ ← يَحْيَى بْنُ يَعْلَى التَّيْمِيُّ ← أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ
