أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو حَفْصٍ عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَی بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ يَحْيَی بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ خَوَّاتٍ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ أَبِي حَثْمَةَ فِي صَلَاةِ الْخَوْفِ قَالَ يَقُومُ الْإِمَامُ مُسْتَقْبِلَ الْقِبْلَةِ وَتَقُومُ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْهُمْ مَعَهُ وَطَائِفَةٌ قِبَلَ الْعَدُوِّ وَوُجُوهُهُمْ إِلَی الْعَدُوِّ فَيَرْکَعُ بِهِمْ رَکْعَةً وَيَرْکَعُونَ لِأَنْفُسِهِمْ وَيَسْجُدُونَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ فِي مَکَانِهِمْ وَيَذْهَبُونَ إِلَی مَقَامِ أُولَئِکَ وَيَجِيئُ أُولَئِکَ فَيَرْکَعُ بِهِمْ وَيَسْجُدُ بِهِمْ سَجْدَتَيْنِ فَهِيَ لَهُ ثِنْتَانِ وَلَهُمْ وَاحِدَةٌ ثُمَّ يَرْکَعُونَ رَکْعَةً رَکْعَةً وَيَسْجُدُونَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ

It was narrated that Sahl bin Abi Hathmah said concerning the fear prayer: “The Imam should stand up facing the Qiblah and some of them should stand with him while the others stand facing the enemy. Then he should pray one Rak’ah with them and they should pray another Rak’ah by themselves, and prostrate twice where they are. Then they should go to where the others are and the others should come and he should lead them in bowing once and prostrating twice, so it will be two Rak’ahs for him and one for them. Then they should bow once and prostrate twice (by themselves, to make up the other Rak’ah).” (Sahih)

أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَی قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ عَنْ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَ جَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّی بِأَصْحَابِهِ صَلَاةَ الْخَوْفِ فَصَلَّتْ طَائِفَةٌ مَعَهُ وَطَائِفَةٌ وُجُوهُهُمْ قِبَلَ الْعَدُوِّ فَصَلَّی بِهِمْ رَکْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ قَامُوا مَقَامَ الْآخَرِينَ وَجَائَ الْآخَرُونَ فَصَلَّی بِهِمْ رَکْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ

Jabir bin ‘Abdullah narrated that the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم led his Companions in offering the fear prayer. One group prayed with him while the other was facing the enemy. He led them in praying two Rak’ahs, then they went and took the place of the others, and the others came and he led them in praying two Rak’ahs, then he said the Taslim. (Sahih)

حَدَّثَ جَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ← الْحَسَنِ، ← يُونُسَ ← عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى ← عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ،

أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَی بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَشْعَثُ عَنْ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ أَبِي بَکْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ صَلَّی صَلَاةَ الْخَوْفِ بِالَّذِينَ خَلْفَهُ رَکْعَتَيْنِ وَالَّذِينَ جَائُوا بَعْدُ رَکْعَتَيْنِ فَکَانَتْ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَرْبَعُ رَکَعَاتٍ وَلِهَؤُلَائِ رَکْعَتَيْنِ رَکْعَتَيْنِ

It was narrated from Abu Bakrah that the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم offered the fear prayer with those who were behind him, praying two Rak’ahs (with them) and two Rak‘ahs with those who came after them, so the Prophet prayed four Rak’ahs and the others each prayed two Rak’ahs. (Sahih).
