أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّی قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ سَعْدِ بْنِ مَالِکٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَائَهُ وَهُوَ مَرِيضٌ فَقَالَ إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ لِي وَلَدٌ إِلَّا ابْنَةٌ وَاحِدَةٌ فَأُوصِي بِمَالِي کُلِّهِ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا قَالَ فَأُوصِي بِنِصْفِهِ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا قَالَ فَأُوصِي بِثُلُثِهِ قَالَ الثُّلُثَ وَالثُّلُثُ کَثِيرٌ

It was narrated from Muhammad bin Saad, from his father Saad bin Malik, that the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم came to him when he was sick and he said: “I do not have any children apart from one daughter. Shall I bequeath all my wealth?” The Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said: “No.” He said: “Shall I bequeath half of it?” The Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said: “No.” He said: “ShaJi I bequeath one-third of it?” He said: “One third, and one-third is much or large.” (Sahih)

أَخْبَرَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ زَکَرِيَّا بْنِ دِينَارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ شَيْبَانَ عَنْ فِرَاسٍ عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي جَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ اسْتُشْهِدَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ وَتَرَکَ سِتَّ بَنَاتٍ وَتَرَکَ عَلَيْهِ دَيْنًا فَلَمَّا حَضَرَ جِدَادُ النَّخْلِ أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقُلْتُ قَدْ عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ وَالِدِي اسْتُشْهِدَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ وَتَرَکَ دَيْنًا کَثِيرًا وَإِنِّي أُحِبُّ أَنْ يَرَاکَ الْغُرَمَائُ قَالَ اذْهَبْ فَبَيْدِرْ کُلَّ تَمْرٍ عَلَی نَاحِيَةٍ فَفَعَلْتُ ثُمَّ دَعَوْتُهُ فَلَمَّا نَظَرُوا إِلَيْهِ کَأَنَّمَا أُغْرُوا بِي تِلْکَ السَّاعَةَ فَلَمَّا رَأَی مَا يَصْنَعُونَ أَطَافَ حَوْلَ أَعْظَمِهَا بَيْدَرًا ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ ثُمَّ جَلَسَ عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ ادْعُ أَصْحَابَکَ فَمَا زَالَ يَکِيلُ لَهُمْ حَتَّی أَدَّی اللَّهُ أَمَانَةَ وَالِدِي وَأَنَا رَاضٍ أَنْ يُؤَدِّيَ اللَّهُ أَمَانَةَ وَالِدِي لَمْ تَنْقُصْ تَمْرَةً وَاحِدَةً

Jabir bin ‘Abduflah narrated that his father was martyred on the Day of Uhud, and he left behind six daughters, and some outstanding debts. When the time to pick the dates came, I went to the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم and said: “You know that my father was martyred on the Day of Uhud and he left behind a great deal of debt. I would like the creditors to see you”. I-I said: “Go and pile up the dates in separate heaps.” I did that, then I called him. When they saw him, it was as if they started to put pressure on me at that time. When he saw what they were doing, he went around the biggest heap three times, then he sat on it then said: “Call your companions (the creditors).” Then he kept on weighing out for them, until Allah cleared all my father’s debts. I am pleased that Allah cleared my father’s debts without even a single date being missed. (Sahih)

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلَّامٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَقُ وَهُوَ الْأَزْرَقُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَکَرِيَّا عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ جَابِرٍ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ تُوُفِّيَ وَعَلَيْهِ دَيْنٌ فَأَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ أَبِي تُوُفِّيَ وَعَلَيْهِ دَيْنٌ وَلَمْ يَتْرُکْ إِلَّا مَا يُخْرِجُ نَخْلُهُ وَلَا يَبْلُغُ مَا يُخْرِجُ نَخْلُهُ مَا عَلَيْهِ مِنْ الدَّيْنِ دُونَ سِنِينَ فَانْطَلِقْ مَعِي يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لِکَيْ لَا يُفْحِشَ عَلَيَّ الْغُرَّامُ فَأَتَی رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدُورُ بَيْدَرًا بَيْدَرًا فَسَلَّمَ حَوْلَهُ وَدَعَا لَهُ ثُمَّ جَلَسَ عَلَيْهِ وَدَعَا الْغُرَّامَ فَأَوْفَاهُمْ وَبَقِيَ مِثْلُ مَا أَخَذُوا

It was narrated from Jabir that his father died owing debts. “I came to the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم and said: ‘(Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم!) My father has died owing debts, and he has not left anything but what his date-palms produce. What his date- palms produce will not pay off his debts for years. Come with me, Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم, so that the creditors will not be harsh with me.’ The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم went to each heap, saying Salams and supplicating for it, then sitting on it. He called the creditors and paid them off, and what was left was as much as what they had taken.” (Sahih)

أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ عَنْ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ تُوُفِّيَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَرَامٍ قَالَ وَتَرَکَ دَيْنًا فَاسْتَشْفَعْتُ بِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَی غُرَمَائِهِ أَنْ يَضَعُوا مِنْ دَيْنِهِ شَيْئًا فَطَلَبَ إِلَيْهِمْ فَأَبَوْا فَقَالَ لِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اذْهَبْ فَصَنِّفْ تَمْرَکَ أَصْنَافًا الْعَجْوَةَ عَلَی حِدَةٍ وَعِذْقَ ابْنِ زَيْدٍ عَلَی حِدَةٍ وَأَصْنَافَهُ ثُمَّ ابْعَثْ إِلَيَّ قَالَ فَفَعَلْتُ فَجَائَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَجَلَسَ فِي أَعْلَاهُ أَوْ فِي أَوْسَطِهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ کِلْ لِلْقَوْمِ قَالَ فَکِلْتُ لَهُمْ حَتَّی أَوْفَيْتُهُمْ ثُمَّ بَقِيَ تَمْرِي کَأَنْ لَمْ يَنْقُصْ مِنْهُ شَيْئٌ

It was narrated that Jabir said: “Abdullah bin ‘Amr bin Haram died, leaving behind debts. I asked the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم to intercede with his creditors so that they would waive part of the debt. He asked them to do that but they refused. The Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said to me: ‘Go and sort your dates into their different kinds: The Ajwah on one side, the cluster of Ibn Zaid on another side, and so on. Then send for me.’ I did that, then the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم came and sat at the head or in the middle of the heaps. Then he said: ‘Measure them out for the people.’ So I measured them out for them until I had paid them all off, and my dates were left as if nothing had been taken from them.” (Sahih)

أَخْبَرَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يُونُسَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ حَرَمِيٌّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمَّارٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ کَانَ لِيَهُودِيٍّ عَلَی أَبِي تَمْرٌ فَقُتِلَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ وَتَرَکَ حَدِيقَتَيْنِ وَتَمْرُ الْيَهُودِيِّ يَسْتَوْعِبُ مَا فِي الْحَدِيقَتَيْنِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هَلْ لَکَ أَنْ تَأْخُذَ الْعَامَ نِصْفَهُ وَتُؤَخِّرَ نِصْفَهُ فَأَبَی الْيَهُودِيُّ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هَلْ لَکَ أَنْ تَأْخُذَ الْجِدَادَ فَآذِنِّي فَآذَنْتُهُ فَجَائَ هُوَ وَأَبُو بَکْرٍ فَجَعَلَ يُجَدُّ وَيُکَالُ مِنْ أَسْفَلِ النَّخْلِ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدْعُو بِالْبَرَکَةِ حَتَّی وَفَيْنَاهُ جَمِيعَ حَقِّهِ مِنْ أَصْغَرِ الْحَدِيقَتَيْنِ فِيمَا يَحْسِبُ عَمَّارٌ ثُمَّ أَتَيْتُهُمْ بِرُطَبٍ وَمَائٍ فَأَکَلُوا وَشَرِبُوا ثُمَّ قَالَ هَذَا مِنْ النَّعِيمِ الَّذِي تُسْأَلُونَ عَنْهُ

It was narrated that Jabir bin ‘Abdullah said: “My father owed some dates to a Jew. He was killed on the Day of Uhud and he left behind two gardens. The dates owed to the Jew would take up everything in the two gardens. The Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said: ‘Can you take half this year and half next year?’ But the Jew refused. The Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said: ‘When the time to pick the dates comes, call me.’ So I called him and he came, accompanied by Abu Bakr. The dates were picked and weighed from the lowest part of the palm-trees, and the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم was praying for blessing, until we paid off ….everything that we owed him from smaller of the two gardens, as calculated by ‘Ammar. Then I brought them some fresh dates and water and they ate and drank, then be said: ‘This is part of the blessing concerning which you will be questioned.” (Sahih)

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّی عَنْ حَدِيثِ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ وَهْبِ بْنِ کَيْسَانَ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ تُوُفِّيَ أَبِي وَعَلَيْهِ دَيْنٌ فَعَرَضْتُ عَلَی غُرَمَائِهِ أَنْ يَأْخُذُوا الثَّمَرَةَ بِمَا عَلَيْهِ فَأَبَوْا وَلَمْ يَرَوْا فِيهِ وَفَائً فَأَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَکَرْتُ ذَلِکَ لَهُ قَالَ إِذَا جَدَدْتَهُ فَوَضَعْتَهُ فِي الْمِرْبَدِ فَآذِنِّي فَلَمَّا جَدَدْتُهُ وَوَضَعْتُهُ فِي الْمِرْبَدِ أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَجَائَ وَمَعَهُ أَبُو بَکْرٍ وَعُمَرُ فَجَلَسَ عَلَيْهِ وَدَعَا بِالْبَرَکَةِ ثُمَّ قَالَ ادْعُ غُرَمَائَکَ فَأَوْفِهِمْ قَالَ فَمَا تَرَکْتُ أَحَدًا لَهُ عَلَی أَبِي دَيْنٌ إِلَّا قَضَيْتُهُ وَفَضَلَ لِي ثَلَاثَةَ عَشَرَ وَسْقًا فَذَکَرْتُ ذَلِکَ لَهُ فَضَحِکَ وَقَالَ ائْتِ أَبَا بَکْرٍ وَعُمَرَ فَأَخْبِرْهُمَا ذَلِکَ فَأَتَيْتُ أَبَا بَکْرٍ وَعُمَرَ فَأَخْبَرْتُهُمَا فَقَالَا قَدْ عَلِمْنَا إِذْ صَنَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا صَنَعَ أَنَّهُ سَيَکُونُ ذَلِکَ

It was narrated that Jabir bin ‘Abdullah said: “My father died owing debts. I offered to his creditors that they could take the fruits in lieu of what he owed them, but they refused as they thought that it would not cover the debt. I went to the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم and told him about that, He said: ‘When you pick the dates and have put them in the Mirbad (place for drying dates), call me.’ When I had picked the dates and put them in the Mirbad, I went to the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم and he came, accompanied by Abu Bakr and ‘Umar. He sat on (the dates) and prayed for blessing. Then he said: ‘Call your creditors and pay them off.’ I did not leave anyone to whom my father owed anything but I paid him off, and I had thirteen Wasqs left over. I mentioned that to him and he smiled and said: ‘Go to Abu Bakr and ‘Umar and tell them about that.’ So I went to Abu Bakr and ‘Umar and told them about that, and they said: ‘We knew, when the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم did what he did, that this would happen.” (Sahih)

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ غُنْمٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ خَارِجَةَ قَالَ خَطَبَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ أَعْطَی کُلَّ ذِي حَقٍّ حَقَّهُ وَلَا وَصِيَّةَ لِوَارِثٍ

It was narrated that ‘Amr bin Kharijah said: “The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم delivered a Khutbah and said: ‘Allah has given every person who has rights his due, and there is no bequest to an heir.” (Hasan)

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ أَنَّ ابْنَ غُنْمٍ ذَکَرَ أَنَّ ابْنَ خَارِجَةَ ذَکَرَ لَهُ أَنَّهُ شَهِدَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ النَّاسَ عَلَی رَاحِلَتِهِ وَإِنَّهَا لَتَقْصَعُ بِجَرَّتِهَا وَإِنَّ لُعَابَهَا لَيَسِيلُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي خُطْبَتِهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ قَسَّمَ لِکُلِّ إِنْسَانٍ قِسْمَهُ مِنْ الْمِيرَاثِ فَلَا تَجُوزُ لِوَارِثٍ وَصِيَّةٌ

It was narrated from Shahr bin Hawshab that Ibn Ghanm mentioned that Ibn Kharijah told him that he saw the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم addressing the people from atop his mount, which was chewing its cud and its saliva was dripping down. The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said in his Khutbah: “Allah has given each person a share of the inheritance, and it is not permissible to give bequests to an heir.” (Hasan)

أَخْبَرَنَا عُتْبَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَکِ قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا إِسْمَعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ خَارِجَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ اسْمُهُ قَدْ أَعْطَی کُلَّ ذِي حَقٍّ حَقَّهُ وَلَا وَصِيَّةَ لِوَارِثٍ

It was narrated that ‘Amr bin Kharijah said: “The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم d. said: ‘Allah, Mighty is His Name has given every person who has rights his due, and there is no bequest to an heir.” (Hasan)

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِکِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ مُوسَی بْنِ طَلْحَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ وَأَنْذِرْ عَشِيرَتَکَ الْأَقْرَبِينَ دَعَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قُرَيْشًا فَاجْتَمَعُوا فَعَمَّ وَخَصَّ فَقَالَ يَا بَنِي کَعْبِ بْنِ لُؤَيٍّ يَا بَنِي مُرَّةَ بْنِ کَعْبٍ يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ شَمْسٍ وَيَا بَنِي عَبْدِ مَنَافٍ وَيَا بَنِي هَاشِمٍ وَيَا بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ أَنْقِذُوا أَنْفُسَکُمْ مِنْ النَّارِ وَيَا فَاطِمَةُ أَنْقِذِي نَفْسَکِ مِنْ النَّارِ إِنِّي لَا أَمْلِکُ لَکُمْ مِنْ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا غَيْرَ أَنَّ لَکُمْ رَحِمًا سَأَبُلُّهَا بِبِلَالِهَا

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: “When the following was revealed: ‘And warn your tribe (Muhammad) of near kindred,’ the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم called the Quraish and they gathered, and he spoke in general and specific terms, then he said: ‘Banu Ka’b bin Lu’ayy! Banu Murrah bin Ka’b! Banu ‘Abd Shams! Banu ‘Abd Manaf! Banu Hisham! Banu ‘Abdul Mu Save yourselves from the Fire! Fatimah! Save yourself from the Fire. I cannot avail you anything before Allah., but I will uphold the ties of kinship with you.” (Sahih)

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَی قَالَ أَنْبَأَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ وَهُوَ ابْنُ إِسْحَقَ عَنْ مُوسَی بْنِ طَلْحَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ مَنَافٍ اشْتَرُوا أَنْفُسَکُمْ مِنْ رَبِّکُمْ إِنِّي لَا أَمْلِکُ لَکُمْ مِنْ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ اشْتَرُوا أَنْفُسَکُمْ مِنْ رَبِّکُمْ إِنِّي لَا أَمْلِکُ لَکُمْ مِنْ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا وَلَکِنْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَکُمْ رَحِمٌ أَنَا بَالُّهَا بِبِلَالِهَا

It was narrated that Musa bin Talhah said: “The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said: ‘Banu ‘Abd Manaf! Buy your souls from your Lord. I cannot avail you anything before Allah. Abu Banu ‘Abdul Muttalib! Buy your souls from your Lord. I cannot avail you anything before Allah. But between me and you there are ties of kinship which I will uphold.” (Sahih)

أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ عَنْ ابْنِ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيَّبِ وَأَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حِينَ أُنْزِلَ عَلَيْهِ وَأَنْذِرْ عَشِيرَتَکَ الْأَقْرَبِينَ قَالَ يَا مَعْشَرَ قُرَيْشٍ اشْتَرُوا أَنْفُسَکُمْ مِنْ اللَّهِ لَا أُغْنِي عَنْکُمْ مِنْ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ لَا أُغْنِي عَنْکُمْ مِنْ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا يَا عَبَّاسُ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ لَا أُغْنِي عَنْکَ مِنْ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا يَا صَفِيَّةُ عَمَّةَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا أُغْنِي عَنْکِ مِنْ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا يَا فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتَ مُحَمَّدٍ سَلِينِي مَا شِئْتِ لَا أُغْنِي عَنْکِ مِنْ اللَّهِ شَيْئًا

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: “The Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم said, when the Verse: ‘And warn your tribe (Muhammad) of near kindred.’ was revealed: ‘Quraish! Buy your souls from your Lord; I cannot avail you anything before Allah. Banu ‘Abdul-Muttalib! I cannot avail you anything before Allah. ‘Abbas bin ‘Abdul-Muttalib! I cannot avail you anything before Allah. Safiyyah, paternal aunt of the Messenger of Allah صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم I cannot avail you anything before Allah. Fatimah bint Muhammad! Ask me for whatever you want, I cannot avail you anything before Allah.” (Sahih).
