حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَنْ تَرَكَ الْعَصْرَ مُتَعَمِّدًا حَتَّى تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ فَكَأَنَّمَا وُتِرَ أَهْلَهُ وَمَالَهُ

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: l heard the Prophet (PBUH) say: "The one who misses 'Asr deliberately until the sun sets is like the one who loses his family and wealth.”

حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا الْعَوَّامُ أَخْبَرَنِي حَبِيبُ بْنُ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا تَمْنَعُوا نِسَاءَكُمْ الْمَسَاجِدَ وَبُيُوتُهُنَّ خَيْرٌ لَهُنَّ قَالَ فَقَالَ ابْنٌ لِعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بَلَى وَاللَّهِ لَنَمْنَعُهُنَّ فَقَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ تَسْمَعُنِي أُحَدِّثُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَتَقُولُ مَا تَقُولُ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar, from the Prophet) "Do not prevent your womenfolk from (going to) the mosques, although their houses axe better for them." A son of 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar said: No, by Allah, we shall certainly stop them. Ibn 'Umar said: You hear me narrate from the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) and you say this?!

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا بَدْرُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَرْوَانَ عَنْ أَبِي عَائِشَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ذَاتَ غَدَاةٍ بَعْدَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ فَقَالَ رَأَيْتُ قُبَيْلَ الْفَجْرِ كَأَنِّي أُعْطِيتُ الْمَقَالِيدَ وَالْمَوَازِينَ فَأَمَّا الْمَقَالِيدُ فَهَذِهِ الْمَفَاتِيحُ وَأَمَّا الْمَوَازِينُ فَهِيَ الَّتِي تَزِنُونَ بِهَا فَوُضِعْتُ فِي كِفَّةٍ وَوُضِعَتْ أُمَّتِي فِي كِفَّةٍ فَوُزِنْتُ بِهِمْ فَرَجَحْتُ ثُمَّ جِيءَ بِأَبِي بَكْرٍ فَوُزِنَ بِهِمْ فَوَزَنَ ثُمَّ جِيءَ بِعُمَرَ فَوُزِنَ فَوَزَنَ ثُمَّ جِيءَ بِعُثْمَانَ فَوُزِنَ بِهِمْ ثُمَّ رُفِعَتْ

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) came out to us one morning after sunrise and said: "Just before Fajr I dreamt that I was given the keys (controls) and the balance s. As for the keys, they are like these (ordinary) keys. As for the balances, they are like what you use to weigh things. I was put in one pan and my umiruh was put in the oilier, and I was weighed against them, and I weighed more. Then Abu Bakr was brought and weighed against them, and he weired more. Then Umar was brought and weighed against them, and he weighed more. Then 'Uthmaan Was brought and weighed against them, then the balance was taken away."

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ أَنْبَأَنَا خَالِدٌ الْحَذَّاءُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ الْعُقَيْلِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ نَادَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَادِيَةِ وَأَنَا بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْبَدَوِيِّ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ صَلَاةُ اللَّيْلِ فَقَالَ مَثْنَى مَثْنَى فَإِذَا خَشِيتَ الصُّبْحَ فَوَاحِدَةً وَرَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ الْغَدَاةِ

It was narrated that ibn Uma r said: A man from the desert called out to the Messenger of Allah when i was sitting between him and the Bedouin. He said: O Messenger of Allah, how are the night prayers (to be offered)? He said; Two by two, then when you fear that dawn is approaching, pray one (rak'ah), and two rak'ahs before Fajr (prayer).”

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنِ الْعَوَّامِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا تَمْنَعُوا النِّسَاءَ أَنْ يَخْرُجْنَ إِلَى الْمَسَاجِدِ وَبُيُوتُهُنَّ خَيْرٌ لَهُنَّ

It was narrated from Ibn Umar that the Prophet (PBUH) said: "Do not prevent the women from going out to the mosques, although their houses are better for them."

حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ نَافِعٍ وَقَالَ يَزِيدُ مَرَّةً إِنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ نَافِعٍ أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا نَلْبَسُ إِذَا أَحْرَمْنَا قَالَ لَا تَلْبَسُوا الْقُمُصَ وَلَا السَّرَاوِيلَاتِ وَلَا الْعَمَائِمَ وَلَا الْبَرَانِسَ وَلَا الْخِفَافَ إِلَّا أَنْ يَكُونَ رَجُلٌ لَيْسَتْ لَهُ نَعْلَانِ فَيَلْبَسَ الْخُفَّيْنِ وَيَجْعَلَهُمَا أَسْفَلَ مِنْ الْكَعْبَيْنِ وَلَا تَلْبَسُوا شَيْئًا مِنْ الثِّيَابِ مَسَّهُ الزَّعْفَرَانُ وَلَا الْوَرْسُ

It was narrated from Ibn Dmar that a man asked the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) what should we wear when we enter ihram? He said: "Do not wear chemises, or pants, or head covers, or burnooses, or khuffayn, unless a man does not have any sandals, in which case he may wear khuffayn and make them lower than the ankles. And do not wear any garment that has been touched by saffron or wars (memecylon tinctorium, a plant dye).

حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تَبَايَعُوا الثَّمَرَ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهُ

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Do not buy or sell dates until they are fully ripe.

قَالَ أَبِي وَأَخْبَرَنَا يَعْنِي يَزِيدَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ كَانَ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ أَعْتَقَ نَصِيبًا لَهُ فِي إِنْسَانٍ أَوْ مَمْلُوكٍ كُلِّفَ عِتْقَ بَقِيَّتِهِ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ مَالٌ يُعْتِقُهُ بِهِ فَقَدْ جَازَ مَا عَتَقَ

It was narrated from ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) used to say: "Whoever frees his share in a person or a slave is obliged to free the rest of him. If he does not have wealth with which to free him, then whatever he has freed of him is valid."

حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ الَّذِي كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُلَبِّي بِهِ يَقُولُ لَبَّيْكَ اللَّهُمَّ لَبَّيْكَ لَبَّيْكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ لَبَّيْكَ إِنَّ الْحَمْدَ وَالنِّعْمَةَ لَكَ وَالْمُلْكَ لَا شَرِيكَ لَكَ وَذَكَرَ نَافِعٌ أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ يَزِيدُ هَؤُلَاءِ الْكَلِمَاتِ مِنْ عِنْدِهِ لَبَّيْكَ وَالرَّغْبَاءُ إِلَيْكَ وَالْعَمَلُ لَبَّيْكَ لَبَّيْكَ

It was narrated from Naafi' that he heard Ibn 'Umar narrate what the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) used to say in the Talbiyah: "Labbayk Allahumma labbayk, labbayka laa shareeka laka labbayk, inna al-hamda wa'l-ni'matah laka wa'l-mulk, laa shareeka lak (Here I am, O Allah, here I am. Here I am, You have no partner, here I am. Verily all praise ard blessings are yours, and all sovereignty, you have no partner).” And Naafi' stated that Ibn 'Umar used to add these words himself; labbayka wa'l-raghba' ilayka wa’l-aml, labbayk labbayk (Here I am, seeking Your pleasure and striving for Your sake, here I asv here i am).

حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ نَافِعٍ أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ خَمْسٌ لَا جُنَاحَ فِي قَتْلِ مَنْ قَتَلَ مِنْهُنَّ الْغُرَابُ وَالْفَأْرَةُ وَالْحِدَأَةُ وَالْكَلْبُ الْعَقُورُ وَالْعَقْرَبُ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "There are five for which there is no sin on the one who kills any of them: crows, rats, kites, vicious dogs and scorpions."

حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ دَخَلْتُ الْمَسْجِدَ فَرَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالنَّاسُ حَوْلَهُ فَأَسْرَعْتُ لِأَسْمَعَ كَلَامَهُ فَتَفَرَّقَ النَّاسُ قَبْلَ أَنْ أَبْلُغَ وَقَالَ مَرَّةً قَبْلَ أَنْ أَنْتَهِيَ إِلَيْهِمْ فَسَأَلْتُ رَجُلًا مِنْهُمْ مَاذَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّهُ نَهَى عَنْ الْمُزَفَّتِ وَالدُّبَّاءِ

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: I entered the mosque where I saw the Prophet (PBUH) with the people around him. I hastened to listen to what he was saying, but the people dispersed before I got there - on one occasion he said: before I reached them. I asked one of them: What did the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) say? He said: He forbade varnished jars and gourds.

حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ نَافِعٍ أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ قَالَ أَقْبَلْنَا مَعَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ مِنْ مَكَّةَ وَنَحْنُ نَسِيرُ مَعَهُ وَمَعَهُ حَفْصُ بْنُ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُمَرَ وَمُسَاحِقُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ خِدَاشٍ فَغَابَتْ لَنَا الشَّمْسُ فَقَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا الصَّلَاةَ فَلَمْ يُكَلِّمْهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهُ الْآخَرُ الصَّلَاةَ فَلَمْ يُكَلِّمْهُ فَقَالَ نَافِعٌ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ الصَّلَاةَ فَقَالَ إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا عَجِلَ بِهِ السَّيْرُ جَمَعَ مَا بَيْنَ هَاتَيْنِ الصَّلَاتَيْنِ فَأَنَا أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَجْمَعَ بَيْنَهُمَا قَالَ فَسِرْنَا أَمْيَالًا ثُمَّ نَزَلَ فَصَلَّى قَالَ يَحْيَى فَحَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى فَقَالَ سِرْنَا إِلَى قَرِيبٍ مِنْ رُبُعِ اللَّيْلِ ثُمَّ نَزَلَ فَصَلَّى

It was narrated that Naafi said: We came with Ibn 'Umar to Makkah, as we were travelling with him, and he was accompanied by Hafs ibn 'Aasim ibn 'Umar and Musaahiq ibn ‘Amr ibn Khidaash. The sun set on us and one of them said: The Prayer (i-e., Maghrib), but he did not answer him. Then the other one said to him: The prayer, but he did not answer him. Naafi' said: I said to hin: The prayer. He said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (PBUH), when he wanted to hasten in travel, put these two prayers together, and i want to put them together. Then we travelled a few miles, then he halted and prayed. Yahya said: Naafi' narrated this hadeeth to me on another occasion and said: We travelled for nearly a quarter of the night, then he halted and prayed.
