حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كُلُّكُمْ رَاعٍ وَكُلُّكُمْ مَسْئُولٌ عَنْ رَعِيَّتِهِ فَالْأَمِيرُ الَّذِي عَلَى النَّاسِ رَاعٍ عَلَيْهِمْ وَهُوَ مَسْئُولٌ عَنْهُمْ وَالرَّجُلُ رَاعٍ عَلَى أَهْلِ بَيْتِهِ وَهُوَ مَسْئُولٌ عَنْهُمْ وَالْمَرْأَةُ رَاعِيَةٌ عَلَى بَيْتِ بَعْلِهَا وَوَلَدِهِ وَهِيَ مَسْئُولَةٌ عَنْهُمْ وَعَبْدُ الرَّجُلِ رَاعٍ عَلَى بَيْتِ سَيِّدِهِ وَهُوَ مَسْئُولٌ عَنْهُ أَلَا فَكُلُّكُمْ رَاعٍ وَكُلُّكُمْ مَسْئُولٌ عَنْ رَعِيَّتِهِ

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Each of you is a shepherd and each of you is responsible for his flock. The ruler of the people is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock. A man is the shepherd of his household and is responsible for his flock. A woman is the shepherd of her husband's house and children and is responsible for her flock. The slave is the shepherd of his master's wealth and is responsible for it. Each cf you is a shepherd and each of you is responsible for his flock.”

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الَّذِينَ يَصْنَعُونَ هَذِهِ الصُّوَرَ يُعَذَّبُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَيُقَالُ لَهُمْ أَحْيُوا مَا خَلَقْتُمْ

It was narrated from Ibn Umar that the Prophet (PBUH) said: “Those who make images will be punished on the Day of resurrection, and it will be said to them ‘Bring to life that which you have created.”

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: The Messenger of Allh (PBUH) said: "If one of you (wants to) come to Jumu'ah, let him do ghusl."

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُسَافَرَ بِالْقُرْآنِ إِلَى أَرْضِ الْعَدُوِّ مَخَافَةَ أَنْ يَنَالَهُ الْعَدُوُّ

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) forbade travelling with the Qur'an to the land of the enemy, lest the enemy get hold of it.

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ اتَّخَذَ كَلْبًا إِلَّا كَلْبَ صَيْدٍ أَوْ مَاشِيَةٍ نَقَصَ مِنْ عَمَلِهِ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ قِيرَاطَانِ

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Whoever keepsa dog except a dog for hunting or a dog for herding livestock, two qiraats will be detracted from his reward each day."

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ نَادَى رَجُلٌ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ أَيْنَ تَأْمُرُنَا نُهِلُّ قَالَ يُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْمَدِينَةِ مِنْ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ وَأَهْلُ الشَّأْمِ مِنْ الْجُحْفَةِ وَأَهْلُ نَجْدٍ مِنْ قَرْنٍ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ وَيَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ وَأَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ مِنْ يَلَمْلَمَ

It was narrated that Ibn Umar said: A man called out to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH): From where do you instruct us to enter ihram? He said: "The people of Madinah should enter ihraam from Dhul-Hulayfah, the people of ash-Shaam (Syria) from al-Juhfah and the people of Majd from Qam" 'Abdullah said: And they say that he said: "And the people of Yemen should enter ihraam from Yalamlam."

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ جَرَّ ثَوْبَهُ مِنْ الْخُيَلَاءِ لَمْ يَنْظُرْ اللَّهُ إِلَيْهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ قَالَ وَأَخْبَرَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ أَنَّ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ ذَكَرَتْ النِّسَاءَ فَقَالَ تُرْخِي شِبْرًا قَالَتْ إِذَنْ تَنْكَشِفَ قَالَ فَذِرَاعًا لَا يَزِدْنَ عَلَيْهِ

It was narrated from 'Ubaydullah: Naafi' told me, from Ibn 'Umar, that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said: "Whoever lets his garment drag out of pride, Allah will not look at him on the Day of Resurrection." He said: Sulaymaan ibn Yasaar told me that Umm Salamah asked about the women and he sad"She may let it down a handspan (to drag along the ground)." She said: Then our feet will show. He said: "Then a cubit, but no more than that."

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ فَرَضَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَدَقَةَ الْفِطْرِ عَلَى الصَّغِيرِ وَالْكَبِيرِ وَالْحُرِّ وَالْمَمْلُوكِ صَاعًا مِنْ تَمْرٍ أَوْ شَعِيرٍ

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) enjoined sadaqat al-fitr upon young and old, free and slave, a saa' of dates or barley.

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَنِي عُمَرُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الْقَزَعِ قُلْتُ وَمَا الْقَزَعُ قَالَ أَنْ يُحْلَقَ رَأْسُ الصَّبِيِّ وَيُتْرَكَ بَعْضُهُ

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) forbade qaza. I (the narrator) said: What is qaza? He said: shaving part of a boy’s head and leaving part.

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنِي نَافِعٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْبَيْتَ هُوَ وَبِلَالٌ وَأُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ وَعُثْمَانُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ فَأَجَافُوا الْبَابَ وَمَكَثُوا سَاعَةً ثُمَّ خَرَجَ فَلَمَّا فُتِحَ كُنْتُ أَوَّلَ مَنْ دَخَلَ فَسَأَلْتُ بِلَالًا أَيْنَ صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ بَيْنَ الْعَمُودَيْنِ الْمُقَدَّمَيْنِ وَنَسِيتُ أَنْ أَسْأَلَهُ كَمْ صَلَّى

It was narrated that 'Abdullah said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) entered the House (the Ka'bah) along with Bilaal, Usaatnah ibn Zayd and Uthmaan ibn Talhah, then they closed the door. They stayed inside for a while, then he came out. When it was opened, I was the first one to in and I asked Bilaal: Where did the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) pray? He said between the two front pillars. And I forgot to ask him how many (rak'ahs) he prayed.

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُ حَمَلَ عَلَى فَرَسٍ فَأَعْطَاهَا عُمَرُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِيَحْمِلَ عَلَيْهَا رَجُلًا فَأُخْبِرَ عُمَرُ أَنَّهُ قَدْ وَقَفَهَا يَبِيعُهَا قَالَ فَسَأَلَ عَنْ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَبْتَاعُهَا قَالَ لَا تَبْتَعْهَا وَلَا تَعُدْ فِي صَدَقَتِكَ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that 'Umar (PBUH) donated a horse and gave it to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) so that a man could ride it (in jihad). Then 'Umar was told that it was being offered for sale. He asked the Prophet (PBUH) about that: should he buy it? He said: "Do not buy it; do not take back your charity,”

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِنًى رَكْعَتَيْنِ وَمَعَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَمَعَ عُمَرَ وَعُثْمَانَ صَدْرًا مِنْ إِمَارَتِهِ ثُمَّ أَتَمَّ

It was narrated that Ibn Umar said: I prayed two rak ahs “‘Mina with the Prophet (PBUH), with Abu Bakr, with 'Umar and with Uthmaan at the beginning of his caliphate, then he (Uthmaan) made it complete (four rak'ahs).
