حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى أَنْ تُحْلَبَ مَوَاشِي النَّاسِ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِمْ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Prophet of Allah (PBUH) forbade milking people's flocks without their permission.

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْأَزْرَقُ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عُمَرَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَجْمَعُ بَيْنَ الصَّلَاتَيْنِ الْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ إِذَا غَابَ الشَّفَقُ قَالَ وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَجْمَعُ بَيْنَهُمَا إِذَا جَدَّ بِهِ السَّيْرُ

It was narrated from Naafi' from Ibn 'Umar that he used to put two prayers together, Maghrib and 'Isha', when the red afterglow disappeared. He said; The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) would put them together if he wanted to hasten in his travel.

حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ يَعْنِي الْغَطَفَانِيَّ أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ الْقَزَعِ وَالْقَزَعُ أَنْ يُحْلَقَ الصَّبِيُّ فَيُتْرَكَ بَعْضُ شَعَرِهِ

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) forbade qaza'. Qaza' refers to shaving part of a boy's head and leaving part of his hair.

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ عَنِ الْقَعْقَاعِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ قَالَ كَتَبَ عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مَرْوَانَ إِلَى ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنْ ارْفَعْ إِلَيَّ حَاجَتَكَ قَالَ فَكَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ ابْنُ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ الْيَدَ الْعُلْيَا خَيْرٌ مِنْ الْيَدِ السُّفْلَى وَابْدَأْ بِمَنْ تَعُولُ وَلَسْتُ أَسْأَلُكَ شَيْئًا وَلَا أَرُدُّ رِزْقًا رَزَقَنِيهِ اللَّهُ مِنْكَ

It was narrated that al-Qa’qaa ibn Hakeem said: 'Abd al-'Azeez ibn Marwaan wrote to Ibn 'Umar saying; Tell me if you need any help. Ibn 'Umar wrote to him saying; The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) used to say: "The upper hand (the one that gives) is better than the lower hand (the one that takes); start with those for whom you axe responsible." I shall not ask you for anything and I shall not reject any bounty Allah sends to me through you.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الْمُصَوِّرُونَ يُعَذَّبُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَيُقَالُ أَحْيُوا مَا خَلَقْتُمْ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that the Messenger of Allah said: "The image makers will be punished on the Day of Resurrection and it will be said to them: 'Give life to that which you have created."

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ كَانَ يُصَلِّي عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ تَطَوُّعًا فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَسْجُدَ نَزَلَ فَأَوْتَرَ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ

It was narrated from Sa'eed ibn Jubayr that Ibn 'Umar used to offer voluntary prayers on his mount, then when he wanted to pray Witr, he would dismount and pray Witr on the ground.

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِابْنِ عُمَرَ رَجُلٌ قَذَفَ امْرَأَتَهُ فَقَالَ فَرَّقَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَ أَخَوَيْ بَنِي الْعَجْلَانِ وَقَالَ اللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ أَنَّ أَحَدَكُمَا كَاذِبٌ فَهَلْ مِنْكُمَا تَائِبٌ فَأَبَيَا فَرَدَّدَهُمَا ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ فَأَبَيَا فَفَرَّقَ بَيْنَهُمَا

It was narrated that Sa'eed ibn Jubayr said: I said to Ibn 'Umar: What about a man who accuses his wife? He said: The Messenger of Allah separated a couple from Banu'l-'Ajlaan and said: "Allah knows that one of you is laying will either of you repent?" They refused, and he repeated it three times, but they (still) refused, so he separated them.

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ قَالَ نَادَى ابْنُ عُمَرَ بِالصَّلَاةِ بِضَجْنَانَ ثُمَّ نَادَى أَنْ صَلُّوا فِي رِحَالِكُمْ ثُمَّ حَدَّثَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَأْمُرُ الْمُنَادِيَ فَيُنَادِي بِالصَّلَاةِ ثُمَّ يُنَادِي أَنْ صَلُّوا فِي رِحَالِكُمْ فِي اللَّيْلَةِ الْبَارِدَةِ وَفِي اللَّيْلَةِ الْمَطِيرَةِ فِي السَّفَرِ

It was narrated that Naafi' said: Ibn 'Umar gave the call for prayer in Dajnaan, then he called out: Pray in your camps. Then he narrated that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) used to instruct the caller to give the call for prayer, then to call out: Pray in your camps, on cold nights or rainy nights, when travelling.

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ حَدَّثَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَنْ اتَّخَذَ أَوْ قَالَ اقْتَنَى كَلْبًا لَيْسَ بِضَارٍ وَلَا كَلْبَ مَاشِيَةٍ نَقَصَ مِنْ أَجْرِهِ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ قِيرَاطَانِ فَقِيلَ لَهُ إِنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ وَكَلْبَ حَرْثٍ فَقَالَ أَنَّى لِأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ حَرْثٌ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar from the Prophet (PBUH) that he said: "Whoever keeps a dog that is not trained for hunting and is not a dog for herding livestock, two qiraats will be detracted from his reward each day." It was Said to him: But Abu Hurayrah says: And is not a dog for farming. He said: How could Abu Hurayrah have farmland?

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ ابْنُهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَظَهْرُهُ فِي الدَّارِ فَقَالَ إِنِّي لَا آمَنُ أَنْ يَكُونَ الْعَامَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ قِتَالٌ فَتُصَدَّ عَنْ الْبَيْتِ فَلَوْ أَقَمْتَ فَقَالَ قَدْ خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَحَالَ كُفَّارُ قُرَيْشٍ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْبَيْتِ فَإِنْ يُحَلْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُ أَفْعَلْ كَمَا فَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ لَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ قَالَ إِنِّي قَدْ أَوْجَبْتُ عُمْرَةً ثُمَّ سَارَ حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ بِالْبَيْدَاءِ قَالَ مَا أَرَى أَمْرَهُمَا إِلَّا وَاحِدًا أُشْهِدُكُمْ أَنِّي قَدْ أَوْجَبْتُ مَعَ عُمْرَتِي حَجًّا ثُمَّ قَدِمَ فَطَافَ لَهُمَا طَوَافًا وَاحِدًا

It was narrated from Naafi' that Ibn 'Umar's son 'Abdullah ibn 'Abdullah entered upon him when his riding animal was at the bouse. He said: i fear that there will be fighting among the people this year and you may be prevented from reaching the House [the Ka'bah]. Why don't you stay here.’ Ibn 'Umar said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) set out (for 'Umrah) and the kuffaar of Quraysh prevented him from reaching the House; if they prevent me from reaching it, I shall do what the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) did. And he said: "Indeed in the Messenger of Allah (Muhammad SAW) you have a good example to follow" [al-Ahzaab 33:21], He said: I have decided to do 'Umrah. Then he travelled until, when he was in al-Bayda', he said: i think that they are the same; i ask you to bear witness that I have decided to do Hajj along with my Umrah Then he came and did one tawaaf (circumambulation of the Ka'bah) for both.

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ الرِّجَالَ وَالنِّسَاءَ يَتَوَضَّئُونَ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَمِيعًا مِنْ إِنَاءٍ وَاحِدٍ

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar said: I saw men and women doing wudoo' together from one (large) vessel at the time of the Messenger erf Allah )

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا يَلْبَسُ الْمُحْرِمُ أَوْ قَالَ مَا يَتْرُكُ الْمُحْرِمُ فَقَالَ لَا يَلْبَسُ الْقَمِيصَ وَلَا السَّرَاوِيلَ وَلَا الْعِمَامَةَ وَلَا الْخُفَّيْنِ إِلَّا أَنْ لَا يَجِدَ نَعْلَيْنِ فَمَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ نَعْلَيْنِ فَلْيَلْبَسْهُمَا أَسْفَلَ مِنْ الْكَعْبَيْنِ وَلَا الْبُرْنُسَ وَلَا شَيْئًا مِنْ الثِّيَابِ مَسَّهُ وَرْسٌ وَلَا زَعْفَرَانٌ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that a man said: O Messenger of Allah, what should the muhrim (pilgrim in ihram) wear? Or he said: what should the muhrim (pilgrim in ihram) not wear? He said: " He should not wear a chemise, or pants, or a head cover or khuffayn, unless he find sandals; whoever find sandds, let him wear them (khuffayn) lower than the ankles (And he should not wear ) bumoose or any garment that has been touched by wars (memecylon tinctorium, a plant dye) or saffron.
