حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ سَمِعَ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ يَسَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ امْرَأَةً مِنْ خَثْعَمَ سَأَلَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غَدَاةَ جَمْعٍ وَالْفَضْلُ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ رِدْفُهُ فَقَالَتْ إِنَّ فَرِيضَةَ اللَّهِ فِي الْحَجِّ عَلَى عِبَادِهِ أَدْرَكَتْ أَبِي شَيْخًا كَبِيرًا لَا يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يَسْتَمْسِكَ عَلَى الرَّحْلِ فَهَلْ تَرَى أَنْ أَحُجَّ عَنْهُ قَالَ نَعَمْ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that a woman of Khath'am asked the Messenger of Allah (PBUH)on the morning of Muzdalifah, when al-Fadl bin 'Abbas was seated behind him on his mount: Allah has made Hajj obligatory for His slaves when my father is an old man and cannot stay on his mount; do you think that I can do Hajj on his behalf? He said: "Yes."

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ جِئْتُ أَنَا وَالْفَضْلُ وَنَحْنُ عَلَى أَتَانٍ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ بِعَرَفَةَ فَمَرَرْنَا عَلَى بَعْضِ الصَّفِّ فَنَزَلْنَا عَنْهَا وَتَرَكْنَاهَا تَرْتَعُ وَدَخَلْنَا فِي الصَّفِّ فَلَمْ يَقُلْ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَيْئًا

It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said: al-Fadl and I came, riding on a female donkey, when the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) was leading the people in prayer in ' Arafah. We passed in front of part of the row, then we dismounted and let (the donkey) graze, and we joined the row, and the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) did not say anything to me.

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ فَصَامَ حَتَّى إِذَا كَانَ بِالْكَدِيدِ أَفْطَرَ وَإِنَّمَا يُؤْخَذُ بِالْآخِرِ مِنْ فِعْلِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قِيلَ لِسُفْيَانَ قَوْلُهُ إِنَّمَا يُؤْخَذُ بِالْآخِرِ مِنْ قَوْلِ الزُّهْرِيِّ أَوْ قَوْلِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ كَذَا فِي الْحَدِيثِ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that the Prophet (PBUH) set out on the day of the conquest and he was fasting, then when he was in al-Kadeed, he broke his fast, and it is only what the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) did last that is to be followed. It was said to Sufyan: With regard to the words, it is only what the Messenger of Allah (PBUH)did last that is to be followed, are these the words of az-Zuhri or of Ibn 'Abbas? He said: This is how it appears in the hadeeth.

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ حَدَّثَنَا الزُّهْرِيُّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ سَعْدَ بْنَ عُبَادَةَ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ نَذْرٍ كَانَ عَلَى أُمِّهِ تُوُفِّيَتْ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَقْضِيَهُ فَقَالَ اقْضِهِ عَنْهَا

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that Saad bin 'Ubadah , asked the Prophet (PBUH) about a vow that his mother had made, but she had died before she fulfilled it. He said: "Fulfil it on her behalf."

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ أَقْسَمَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تُقْسِمْ

It was narrated from Ibn "Abbas that Abu Bakr urged the Prophet (PBUH) to do something by swearing an oath, and the Prophet (PBUH) said to him: "Do not swear oaths."

It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said: I heard the Prophet (PBUH) say: "Any animal skin that is tanned is pure."

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ زِيَادٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ أَبِي مَعْبَدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ ارْفَعُوا عَنْ بَطْنِ مُحَسِّرٍ وَعَلَيْكُمْ بِمِثْلِ حَصَى الْخَذْفِ

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that the Prophet (PBUH) said: "Keep away from the interior of Muhassir, and you should pick up stones the size of broad beans."

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الثَّيِّبُ أَحَقُّ بِنَفْسِهَا مِنْ وَلِيِّهَا وَالْبِكْرُ يَسْتَأْمِرُهَا أَبُوهَا فِي نَفْسِهَا وَإِذْنُهَا صُمَاتُهَا

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas, who attributed it to the Prophet (PBUH): "The previously married woman has more right to decide concerning herself than her guardian, and in the case of the virgin, the father should consult her about her marriage, and her consent is her silence."

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالرَّوْحَاءِ فَلَقِيَ رَكْبًا فَسَلَّمَ عَلَيْهِمْ فَقَالَ مَنْ الْقَوْمُ قَالُوا الْمُسْلِمُونَ قَالَ فَمَنْ أَنْتُمْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَفَزِعَتْ امْرَأَةٌ فَأَخَذَتْ بِعَضُدِ صَبِيٍّ فَأَخْرَجَتْهُ مِنْ مِحَفَّتِهَا فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَلْ لِهَذَا حَجٌّ قَالَ نَعَمْ وَلَكِ أَجْرٌ

It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said: The Prophet (PBUH) was in ar-Rawha', and he met some riders and greeted them with salam. He said: "Who are the people?' They said: Muslims. They said: Who are you? He said: "The Messenger of Allah A woman rushed to grab the upper arm of a boy and she brought him out of the howdah and said: O Messenger of Allah, is there Hajj for this one? He said: "Yes, and you will be rewarded."

حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ سُحَيْمٍ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ لَمْ أَحْفَظْ عَنْهُ غَيْرَهُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَعْبَدِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ كَشَفَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ السِّتَارَةِ وَالنَّاسُ صُفُوفٌ خَلْفَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ فَقَالَ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّهُ لَمْ يَبْقَ مِنْ مُبَشِّرَاتِ النُّبُوَّةِ إِلَّا الرُّؤْيَا الصَّالِحَةُ يَرَاهَا الْمُسْلِمُ أَوْ تُرَى لَهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ أَلَا إِنِّي نُهِيتُ أَنْ أَقْرَأَ رَاكِعًا أَوْ سَاجِدًا فَأَمَّا الرُّكُوعُ فَعَظِّمُوا فِيهِ الرَّبَّ وَأَمَّا السُّجُودُ فَاجْتَهِدُوا فِي الدُّعَاءِ فَقَمِنٌ أَنْ يُسْتَجَابَ لَكُمْ

It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) drew back the curtain and the people were lined up in rows behind Abu Bakr. He said: "O people, there is nothing left of the glad tidings of Prophethood except a good dream that a Muslim sees or that is seen for him. But I have been forbidden to recite the Qur'an when bowing or prostrating. As for bowing, glorify your Lord therein, and as for prostrating, strive in du'a', for it is more likely to receive a response (from your Lord)’'.

It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) ;said: "Do not punish with the punishment of Allah, glorified and exalted."
