حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِکٌ عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ مَوْلَی عُمَرَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ کُنْتُ أَنَامُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَرِجْلَايَ فِي قِبْلَتِهِ فَإِذَا سَجَدَ غَمَزَنِي فَقَبَضْتُ رِجْلَيَّ فَإِذَا قَامَ بَسَطْتُهُمَا قَالَتْ وَالْبُيُوتُ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَيْسَ فِيهَا مَصَابِيحُ

Narrated `Aisha: the wife of the Prophet, "I used to sleep in front of Allah's Apostle with my legs opposite his Qibla (facing him); and whenever he prostrated, he pushed my feet and I withdrew them and whenever he stood, I stretched them." `Aisha added, "In those days there were no lamps in the houses."

حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصِ بْنِ غِيَاثٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ عَنْ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ح قَالَ الْأَعْمَشُ وَحَدَّثَنِي مُسْلِمٌ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ذُکِرَ عِنْدَهَا مَا يَقْطَعُ الصَّلَاةَ الْکَلْبُ وَالْحِمَارُ وَالْمَرْأَةُ فَقَالَتْ شَبَّهْتُمُونَا بِالْحُمُرِ وَالْکِلَابِ وَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي وَإِنِّي عَلَی السَّرِيرِ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ مُضْطَجِعَةً فَتَبْدُو لِي الْحَاجَةُ فَأَکْرَهُ أَنْ أَجْلِسَ فَأُوذِيَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَنْسَلُّ مِنْ عِنْدِ رِجْلَيْهِ

Narrated `Aisha: The things which annual prayer were mentioned before me (and those were): a dog, a donkey and a woman. I said, "You have compared us (women) to donkeys and dogs. By Allah! I saw the Prophet praying while I used to lie in (my) bed between him and the Qibla. Whenever I was in need of something, I disliked to sit and trouble the Prophet. So, I would slip away by the side of his feet."

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ أَخِي ابْنِ شِهَابٍ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ عَمَّهُ عَنْ الصَّلَاةِ يَقْطَعُهَا شَيْئٌ فَقَالَ لَا يَقْطَعُهَا شَيْئٌ أَخْبَرَنِي عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَتْ لَقَدْ کَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُومُ فَيُصَلِّي مِنْ اللَّيْلِ وَإِنِّي لَمُعْتَرِضَةٌ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ عَلَی فِرَاشِ أَهْلِهِ

Narrated `Aisha: (the wife of the Prophet) Allah's Apostle used to get up at night and pray while I used to lie across between him and the Qibla on his family's bed.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِکٌ عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ الزُّرَقِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ کَانَ يُصَلِّي وَهُوَ حَامِلٌ أُمَامَةَ بِنْتَ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَلِأَبِي الْعَاصِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ شَمْسٍ فَإِذَا سَجَدَ وَضَعَهَا وَإِذَا قَامَ حَمَلَهَا

Narrated Abu Qatada Al-Ansari: Allah's Apostle was praying and he was carrying Umama the daughters of Zainab, the daughter of Allah's Apostle and she was the daughter of 'As bin Rabi`a bin `Abd Shams. When he prostrated, he put her down and when he stood, he carried her (on his neck).

أَبِی قَتَادَۃَ الأَنصَارِیِّ: ← عَمْرِو بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ الزُّرَقِيِّ، ← عَامِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، ← مَالِكٍ، ← عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ

حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ زُرَارَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا هُشَيْمٌ عَنْ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَدَّادِ بْنِ الْهَادِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَتْنِي خَالَتِي مَيْمُونَةُ بِنْتُ الْحَارِثِ قَالَتْ کَانَ فِرَاشِي حِيَالَ مُصَلَّی النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَرُبَّمَا وَقَعَ ثَوْبُهُ عَلَيَّ وَأَنَا عَلَی فِرَاشِي

Narrated Maimuna bint Al-Harith: My bed was beside the praying place (Musalla) of the Prophet and sometimes his garment fell on me while I used to lie in my bed.

أَخْبَرَتْنِي خَالَتِي مَيْمُونَةُ بِنْتُ الحَارِثِ، ← عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَدَّادِ بْنِ الْهَادِ، ← الشَّيْبَانِيِّ ← هُشَيْمٌ، ← عَمْرُو بْنُ زُرَارَةَ،

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الشَّيْبَانِيُّ سُلَيْمَانُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ شَدَّادٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مَيْمُونَةَ تَقُولُ کَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي وَأَنَا إِلَی جَنْبِهِ نَائِمَةٌ فَإِذَا سَجَدَ أَصَابَنِي ثَوْبُهُ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ وَزَادَ مُسَدَّدٌ عَنْ خَالِدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ الشَّيْبَانِيُّ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ

Narrated Maimuna: The Prophet used to pray while I used to sleep beside him during my periods (menses) and in prostration his garment used to touch me.

عَبْدِ اللہِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ ← الشَّيْبَانِيُّ سُلَيْمَانُ، ← عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، ← أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ،

حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَی قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْقَاسِمُ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ بِئْسَمَا عَدَلْتُمُونَا بِالْکَلْبِ وَالْحِمَارِ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُنِي وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي وَأَنَا مُضْطَجِعَةٌ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَسْجُدَ غَمَزَ رِجْلَيَّ فَقَبَضْتُهُمَا

Narrated `Aisha: It is not good that you people have made us (women) equal to dogs and donkeys. No doubt I saw Allah's Apostle praying while I used to lie between him and the Qibla and when he wanted to prostrate, he pushed my legs and I withdrew them.

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ السِّرَمَارِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَی قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ بَيْنَمَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَائِمٌ يُصَلِّي عِنْدَ الْکَعْبَةِ وَجَمْعُ قُرَيْشٍ فِي مَجَالِسِهِمْ إِذْ قَالَ قَائِلٌ مِنْهُمْ أَلَا تَنْظُرُونَ إِلَی هَذَا الْمُرَائِي أَيُّکُمْ يَقُومُ إِلَی جَزُورِ آلِ فُلَانٍ فَيَعْمِدُ إِلَی فَرْثِهَا وَدَمِهَا وَسَلَاهَا فَيَجِيئُ بِهِ ثُمَّ يُمْهِلُهُ حَتَّی إِذَا سَجَدَ وَضَعَهُ بَيْنَ کَتِفَيْهِ فَانْبَعَثَ أَشْقَاهُمْ فَلَمَّا سَجَدَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَضَعَهُ بَيْنَ کَتِفَيْهِ وَثَبَتَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَاجِدًا فَضَحِکُوا حَتَّی مَالَ بَعْضُهُمْ إِلَی بَعْضٍ مِنْ الضَّحِکِ فَانْطَلَقَ مُنْطَلِقٌ إِلَی فَاطِمَةَ عَلَيْهَا السَّلَام وَهِيَ جُوَيْرِيَةٌ فَأَقْبَلَتْ تَسْعَی وَثَبَتَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَاجِدًا حَتَّی أَلْقَتْهُ عَنْهُ وَأَقْبَلَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ تَسُبُّهُمْ فَلَمَّا قَضَی رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الصَّلَاةَ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ عَلَيْکَ بِقُرَيْشٍ اللَّهُمَّ عَلَيْکَ بِقُرَيْشٍ اللَّهُمَّ عَلَيْکَ بِقُرَيْشٍ ثُمَّ سَمَّی اللَّهُمَّ عَلَيْکَ بِعَمْرِو بْنِ هِشَامٍ وَعُتْبَةَ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ وَشَيْبَةَ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ وَالْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ وَأُمَيَّةَ بْنِ خَلَفٍ وَعُقْبَةَ بْنِ أَبِي مُعَيْطٍ وَعُمَارَةَ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ فَوَاللَّهِ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُهُمْ صَرْعَی يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ ثُمَّ سُحِبُوا إِلَی الْقَلِيبِ قَلِيبِ بَدْرٍ ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأُتْبِعَ أَصْحَابُ الْقَلِيبِ لَعْنَةً

Narrated `Amr bin Maimun [??]: `Abdullah bin Mas`ud said, "While Allah's Apostle was praying beside the Ka`ba, there were some Quraish people sitting in a gathering. One of them said, 'Don't you see this (who does deeds just to show off)? Who amongst you can go and bring the dung, blood and the Abdominal contents (intestines, etc.) of the slaughtered camels of the family of so and so and then wait till he prostrates and put that in between his shoulders?' The most unfortunate amongst them (`Uqba bin Abi Mu'ait) went (and brought them) and when Allah's Apostle prostrated, he put them between his shoulders. The Prophet remained in prostration and they laughed so much so that they fell on each other. A passerby went to Fatima, who was a young girl in those days. She came running and the Prophet was still in prostration. She removed them and cursed upon the Quraish on their faces. When Allah's Apostle completed his prayer, he said, 'O Allah! Take revenge on Quraish.' He said so thrice and added, 'O Allah! take revenge on `Amr bin Hisham, `Utba bin Rabi`a, Shaiba bin Rabi`a, Al-Walid bin `Utba, Umaiya bin Khalaf, `Uqba bin Abi Mu'ait and `Umar a bin Al-Walid." `Abdullah added, "By Allah! I saw all of them dead in the battle field on the day of Badr and they were dragged and thrown in the Qalib (a well) at Badr: Allah's Apostle then said, 'Allah's curse has descended upon the people of the Qalib (well).

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ قَالَ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ أَخَّرَ الصَّلَاةَ يَوْمًا فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ فَأَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ الْمُغِيرَةَ بْنَ شُعْبَةَ أَخَّرَ الصَّلَاةَ يَوْمًا وَهُوَ بِالْعِرَاقِ فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ أَبُو مَسْعُودٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ فَقَالَ مَا هَذَا يَا مُغِيرَةُ أَلَيْسَ قَدْ عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ جِبْرِيلَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَزَلَ فَصَلَّى فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثُمَّ صَلَّى فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثُمَّ صَلَّى فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثُمَّ صَلَّى فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثُمَّ صَلَّى فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثُمَّ قَالَ بِهَذَا أُمِرْتُ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ لِعُرْوَةَ اعْلَمْ مَا تُحَدِّثُ أَوَأَنَّ جِبْرِيلَ هُوَ أَقَامَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقْتَ الصَّلَاةِ قَالَ عُرْوَةُ كَذَلِكَ كَانَ بَشِيرُ بْنُ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ عُرْوَةُ وَلَقَدْ حَدَّثَتْنِي عَائِشَةُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ وَالشَّمْسُ فِي حُجْرَتِهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ تَظْهَرَ

Narrated Ibn Shihab: Once `Umar bin `Abdul `Aziz delayed the prayer and `Urwa bin Az-Zubair went to him and said, "Once in 'Iraq, Al-Mughira bin Shu`ba delayed his prayers and Abi Mas`ud Al-Ansari went to him and said, 'O Mughira! What is this? Don't you know that once Gabriel came and offered the prayer (Fajr prayer) and Allah's Apostle prayed too, then he prayed again (Zuhr prayer) and so did Allah's Apostle and again he prayed (`Asr prayers and Allah's Apostle did the same; again he prayed (Maghrib-prayer) and so did Allah's Apostle and again prayed (`Isha prayer) and so did Allah's Apostle and (Gabriel) said, 'I was ordered to do so (to demonstrate the prayers prescribed to you)?'" `Umar (bin `Abdul `Aziz) said to `Urwa, "Be sure of what you Say. Did Gabriel lead Allah's Apostle at the stated times of the prayers?" `Urwa replied, "Bashir bin Abi Mas`ud narrated like this on the authority of his father."

ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، ← عَلَى مَالِكٍ؛ ← عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ،

قَالَ عُرْوَةُ:‏‏‏‏ وَلَقَدْ حَدَّثَتْنِي عَائِشَةُ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏"أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ وَالشَّمْسُ فِي حُجْرَتِهَا قَبْلَ أَنْ تَظْهَرَ".

Urwa added, "Aisha told me that Allah's Apostle used to pray `Asr prayer when the sunshine was still inside her residence (during the early time of `Asr).

عُرْوَةُ: وَلَقَدْ حَدَّثَتْنِي عَائِشَةُ:

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادٌ هُوَ ابْنُ عَبَّادٍ عَنْ أَبِي جَمْرَةَ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ قَدِمَ وَفْدُ عَبْدِ الْقَيْسِ عَلَی رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالُوا إِنَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْحَيِّ مِنْ رَبِيعَةَ وَلَسْنَا نَصِلُ إِلَيْکَ إِلَّا فِي الشَّهْرِ الْحَرَامِ فَمُرْنَا بِشَيْئٍ نَأْخُذْهُ عَنْکَ وَنَدْعُو إِلَيْهِ مَنْ وَرَائَنَا فَقَالَ آمُرُکُمْ بِأَرْبَعٍ وَأَنْهَاکُمْ عَنْ أَرْبَعٍ الْإِيمَانِ بِاللَّهِ ثُمَّ فَسَّرَهَا لَهُمْ شَهَادَةُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ وَإِقَامُ الصَّلَاةِ وَإِيتَائُ الزَّکَاةِ وَأَنْ تُؤَدُّوا إِلَيَّ خُمُسَ مَا غَنِمْتُمْ وَأَنْهَی عَنْ الدُّبَّائِ وَالْحَنْتَمِ وَالْمُقَيَّرِ وَالنَّقِيرِ

Narrated Ibn `Abbas: "Once a delegation of `Abdul Qais came to Allah's Apostle and said, "We belong to such and such branch of the tribe of Rab'a [??] and we can only come to you in the sacred months. Order us to do something good so that we may (carry out) take it from you and also invite to it our people whom we have left behind (at home)." The Prophet said, " I order you to do four things and forbid you from four things. (The first four are as follows): -1. To believe in Allah. (And then he: explained it to them i.e.) to testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and (Muhammad) am Allah's Apostle -2. To offer prayers perfectly (at the stated times): -3. To pay Zakat (obligatory charity) -4. To give me Khumus (The other four things which are forbidden are as follows): -1. Dubba -2. Hantam -3. Muqaiyat [??] -4. Naqir (all these are utensils used for the preparation of alcoholic drinks).

ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ← أَبِي جَمْرَةَ ← عَبَّادٌ هُوَ ابْنُ عَبَّادٍ، ← قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّی قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَی قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا قَيْسٌ عَنْ جَرِيرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ بَايَعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَی إِقَامِ الصَّلَاةِ وَإِيتَائِ الزَّکَاةِ وَالنُّصْحِ لِکُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ

Narrated Jarir bin `Abdullah: I gave the pledge of allegiance to Allah's Apostle for to offer prayers perfectly, to pay Zakat regularly, and to give good advice to every Muslim.
