Hadith #15895

حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ شَهِدَ عِنْدِي رِجَالٌ مَرْضِيُّونَ وَأَرْضَاهُمْ عِنْدِي عُمَرُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَی عَنْ الصَّلَاةِ بَعْدَ الصُّبْحِ حَتَّی تَشْرُقَ الشَّمْسُ وَبَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ حَتَّی تَغْرُبَ

Narrated `Umar: "The Prophet forbade praying after the Fajr prayer till the sun rises and after the `Asr prayer till the sun sets." Narrated Ibn `Abbas: Some people told me the same narration (as above).

Hadith #15896

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَی عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْعَالِيَةِ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي نَاسٌ بِهَذَا

Narrated Hisham's father: Ibn `Umar said, "Allah's Apostle said, 'Do not pray at the time of sunrise and at the time of sunset.' "

Hadith #15897

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَی بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ هِشَامٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تَحَرَّوْا بِصَلَاتِکُمْ طُلُوعَ الشَّمْسِ وَلَا غُرُوبَهَا وَقَالَ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا طَلَعَ حَاجِبُ الشَّمْسِ فَأَخِّرُوا الصَّلَاةَ حَتَّی تَرْتَفِعَ وَإِذَا غَابَ حَاجِبُ الشَّمْسِ فَأَخِّرُوا الصَّلَاةَ حَتَّی تَغِيبَ تَابَعَهُ عَبْدَةُ

Ibn `Umar said, "Allah's Apostle said, 'If the edge of the sun appears (above the horizon) delay the prayer till it becomes high, and if the edge of the sun disappears, delay the prayer till it sets (disappears completely).' "

Hadith #15898

حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ خُبَيْبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَی عَنْ بَيْعَتَيْنِ وَعَنْ لِبْسَتَيْنِ وَعَنْ صَلَاتَيْنِ نَهَی عَنْ الصَّلَاةِ بَعْدَ الْفَجْرِ حَتَّی تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ وَبَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ حَتَّی تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ وَعَنْ اشْتِمَالِ الصَّمَّائِ وَعَنْ الِاحْتِبَائِ فِي ثَوْبٍ وَاحِدٍ يُفْضِي بِفَرْجِهِ إِلَی السَّمَائِ وَعَنْ الْمُنَابَذَةِ وَالْمُلَامَسَةِ

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle forbade two kinds of sales, two kinds of dresses, and two prayers. He forbade offering prayers after the Fajr prayer till the rising of the sun and after the `Asr prayer till its setting. He also forbade "Ishtimal-Assama [??] " and "al-Ihtiba" in one garment in such a way that one's private parts are exposed towards the sky. He also forbade the sales called "Munabadha" and "Mulamasa." (See Hadith No. 354 and 355 Vol. 3).

Hadith #15899

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِکٌ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا يَتَحَرَّی أَحَدُکُمْ فَيُصَلِّي عِنْدَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَلَا عِنْدَ غُرُوبِهَا

Narrated Ibn `Umar: Allah's Apostle said, "None of you should try to pray at sunrise or sunset."

Hadith #15900

حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ مُوسَی بْنِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ سَالِمٍ أَبِي النَّضْرِ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ أَبِي أَوْفَی کَتَبَ فَقَرَأْتُهُ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا لَقِيتُمُوهُمْ فَاصْبِرُوا

Narrated Salim Abu-An-Nadr: `Abdullah bin Abi `Aufa wrote and I read what he wrote that Allah's Apostle said, "When you face them ( i.e. your enemy) then be patient."

Hadith #15901

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسًا رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَی الْخَنْدَقِ فَإِذَا الْمُهَاجِرُونَ وَالْأَنْصَارُ يَحْفِرُونَ فِي غَدَاةٍ بَارِدَةٍ فَلَمْ يَکُنْ لَهُمْ عَبِيدٌ يَعْمَلُونَ ذَلِکَ لَهُمْ فَلَمَّا رَأَی مَا بِهِمْ مِنْ النَّصَبِ وَالْجُوعِ قَالَ اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّ الْعَيْشَ عَيْشُ الْآخِرَهْ فَاغْفِرْ لِلْأَنْصَارِ وَالْمُهَاجِرَهْ فَقَالُوا مُجِيبِينَ لَهُ نَحْنُ الَّذِينَ بَايَعُوا مُحَمَّدَا عَلَی الْجِهَادِ مَا بَقِينَا أَبَدَا

Narrated Anas: Allah's Apostle went towards the Khandaq (i.e. Trench) and saw the Emigrants and the Ansar digging in a very cold morning as they did not have slaves to do that for them. When he noticed their fatigue and hunger he said, "O Allah! The real life is that of the Here-after, (so please) forgive the Ansar and the Emigrants." In its reply the Emigrants and the Ansar said, "We are those who have given a pledge of allegiance to Muhammad that we will carry on Jihad as long as we live."

Hadith #15902

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ جَعَلَ الْمُهَاجِرُونَ وَالْأَنْصَارُ يَحْفِرُونَ الْخَنْدَقَ حَوْلَ الْمَدِينَةِ وَيَنْقُلُونَ التُّرَابَ عَلَی مُتُونِهِمْ وَيَقُولُونَ نَحْنُ الَّذِينَ بَايَعُوا مُحَمَّدَا عَلَی الْإِسْلَامِ مَا بَقِينَا أَبَدَا وَالنَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُجِيبُهُمْ وَيَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّه لَا خَيْرَ إِلَّا خَيْرُ الْآخِرَهْ فَبَارِکْ فِي الْأَنْصَارِ وَالْمُهَاجِرَهْ

Narrated Anas: The Emigrants and the Ansar started digging the trench around Medina carrying the earth on their backs and saying, "We are those who have given a pledge of allegiance to Muhammad that we will I carry on Jihad as long as we live." The Prophet kept on replying, "O Allah, there is no good except the good of the Hereafter; so confer Your Blessings on the Ansar and the Emigrants."

Hadith #15903

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ سَمِعْتُ الْبَرَائَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ کَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَنْقُلُ وَيَقُولُ لَوْلَا أَنْتَ مَا اهْتَدَيْنَا

Narrated Al-Bara: The Prophet went on carrying (i.e. the earth) and saying, "Without You (O Allah!) we would have got no guidance."

Hadith #15904

حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ الْبَرَائِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ الْأَحْزَابِ يَنْقُلُ التُّرَابَ وَقَدْ وَارَی التُّرَابُ بَيَاضَ بَطْنِهِ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ لَوْلَا أَنْتَ مَا اهْتَدَيْنَا وَلَا تَصَدَّقْنَا وَلَا صَلَّيْنَا فَأَنْزِلَنْ سَکِينَةً عَلَيْنَا وَثَبِّتْ الْأَقْدَامَ إِنْ لَاقَيْنَا إِنَّ الْأُلَی قَدْ بَغَوْا عَلَيْنَا إِذَا أَرَادُوا فِتْنَةً أَبَيْنَا

Narrated Al-Bara: On the day (of the battle) of Al-Ahzab (i.e. clans) I saw the Prophet carrying earth, and the earth was covering the whiteness of his `Abdomen. And he was saying, "Without You (O Allah!) we would have got no guidance, nor given in charity, nor prayed. So please bless us with tranquility and make firm our feet when we meet our enemies. Indeed (these) people have rebelled against (oppressed) us but never shall we yield if they try to bring affliction upon us."

Hadith #15905

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ أَنَّ أَنَسًا حَدَّثَهُمْ قَالَ رَجَعْنَا مِنْ غَزْوَةِ تَبُوکَ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

Narrated Anas: We returned from the Ghazwa of Tabuk along with the Prophet. (See Hadith No. 92 below) .

Hadith #15906

حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ هُوَ ابْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ کَانَ فِي غَزَاةٍ فَقَالَ إِنَّ أَقْوَامًا بِالْمَدِينَةِ خَلْفَنَا مَا سَلَکْنَا شِعْبًا وَلَا وَادِيًا إِلَّا وَهُمْ مَعَنَا فِيهِ حَبَسَهُمْ الْعُذْرُ وَقَالَ مُوسَی حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ عَنْ مُوسَی بْنِ أَنَسٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد اللَّهِ الْأَوَّلُ أَصَحُّ

Narrated Anas: While the Prophet was in a Ghazwa he said, "Some people have remained behind us in Medina and we never crossed a mountain path or a valley, but they were with us (i.e. sharing the reward with us), as they have been held back by a (legal) excuse. "
