حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو کُرَيْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَکْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ أَبِي حُصَيْنٍ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ عَنْ حَکِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَ حَکِيمَ بْنَ حِزَامٍ يَشْتَرِي لَهُ أُضْحِيَّةً بِدِينَارٍ فَاشْتَرَی أُضْحِيَّةً فَأُرْبِحَ فِيهَا دِينَارًا فَاشْتَرَی أُخْرَی مَکَانَهَا فَجَائَ بِالْأُضْحِيَّةِ وَالدِّينَارِ إِلَی رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ ضَحِّ بِالشَّاةِ وَتَصَدَّقْ بِالدِّينَار قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَی حَدِيثُ حَکِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍ لَا نَعْرِفُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ وَحَبِيبُ بْنُ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ عِنْدِي مِنْ حَکِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍ

Narrated Muhammad bin Ibrahim : From Sa'eed bin Al-Musayyab, from Ma'mar bin 'Abdullah bin Nadlah who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying: 'Hoarding is nothing but sin.' So I (Muhammad) said to Sa'eed: O Abu Muhammad! You hoard? He said: And Ma'mar would hoard. It is also been reported that Sa'eed bin Musayyab would hoard oil, (camel) fodder, and the like. [Abu 'Eisa said:] There are narrations on this topic from 'Umar, 'Ali, Abu Umamah, and Ibn 'Umar. The Hadith of Ma'mar is a Hasan Sahih Hadith. This is acted upon according to the people of knowledge, they dislike hoarding food, and some of them make a concession for hoarding things other than food. Ibn Al-Mubarak said: There is no harm in hoarding cotton, goat pelts and like.

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الدَّارِمِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا حَبَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ الْأَعْوَرُ الْمُقْرِئُ حَدَّثَنَا الزُّبَيْرُ بْنُ الْخِرِّيتِ عَنْ أَبِي لَبِيدٍ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ الْبَارِقِيِّ قَالَ دَفَعَ إِلَيَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دِينَارًا لِأَشْتَرِيَ لَهُ شَاةً فَاشْتَرَيْتُ لَهُ شَاتَيْنِ فَبِعْتُ إِحْدَاهُمَا بِدِينَارٍ وَجِئْتُ بِالشَّاةِ وَالدِّينَارِ إِلَی النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَکَرَ لَهُ مَا کَانَ مِنْ أَمْرِهِ فَقَالَ لَهُ بَارَکَ اللَّهُ لَکَ فِي صَفْقَةِ يَمِينِکَ فَکَانَ يَخْرُجُ بَعْدَ ذَلِکَ إِلَی کُنَاسَةِ الْکُوفَةِ فَيَرْبَحُ الرِّبْحَ الْعَظِيمَ فَکَانَ مِنْ أَکْثَرِ أَهْلِ الْکُوفَةِ مَالًا حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الدَّارِمِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا حَبَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الزُّبَيْرُ بْنُ خِرِّيتٍ فَذَکَرَ نَحْوَهُ عَنْ أَبِي لَبِيدٍ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَی وَقَدْ ذَهَبَ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ إِلَی هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ وَقَالُوا بِهِ وَهُوَ قَوْلُ أَحْمَدَ وَإِسْحَقَ وَلَمْ يَأْخُذْ بَعْضُ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ مِنْهُمْ الشَّافِعِيُّ وَسَعِيدُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ أَخُو حَمَّادِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ وَأَبُو لَبِيدٍ اسْمُهُ لِمَازَةُ بْنُ زَبَّارٍ

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: That the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Do not go out to meet the market (caravan), do not leave animals un-milked (to deceive the buyer), nor out-spend one another. [Abu 'Eisa said:] There are narrations on this topic from Ibn Mas'ud and Abu Hurairah. The Hadith if Ibn 'Abbas is a Hasan Sahih Hadith. This is acted upon according to the people of knowledge, they dislike selling the Muhaffalah, and it is the Musarrah that has not been milked by its owner in days or more than that, so the milk accumulates in its udder to impress the purchaser. This is a type of deceit and misrepresentation.
