حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو کُرَيْبٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَائِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ مَا غِرْتُ عَلَی امْرَأَةٍ مَا غِرْتُ عَلَی خَدِيجَةَ وَلَقَدْ هَلَکَتْ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَتَزَوَّجَنِي بِثَلَاثِ سِنِينَ لِمَا کُنْتُ أَسْمَعُهُ يَذْکُرُهَا وَلَقَدْ أَمَرَهُ رَبُّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَنْ يُبَشِّرَهَا بِبَيْتٍ مِنْ قَصَبٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ وَإِنْ کَانَ لَيَذْبَحُ الشَّاةَ ثُمَّ يُهْدِيهَا إِلَی خَلَائِلِهَا

A'isha reported: Never did I feel jealous of any woman as I was jealous of Khadija. She had died three years before he (the Holy Prophet) married me. I often heard him praise her, and his lord, the Exalted and Glorious, had commanded him to give her the glad tidings of a palace of jewels in Paradise: and whenever he slaughtered a sheep he presented (its meat) to her female companions.

حَدَّثَنَا سَهْلُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ مَا غِرْتُ عَلَی نِسَائِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَّا عَلَی خَدِيجَةَ وَإِنِّي لَمْ أُدْرِکْهَا قَالَتْ وَکَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا ذَبَحَ الشَّاةَ فَيَقُولُ أَرْسِلُوا بِهَا إِلَی أَصْدِقَائِ خَدِيجَةَ قَالَتْ فَأَغْضَبْتُهُ يَوْمًا فَقُلْتُ خَدِيجَةَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنِّي قَدْ رُزِقْتُ حُبَّهَا

A'isha reported: Never did I feel jealous of the wives of Allah's Apostle ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) but in case of Khadija, although I did no, (have the privilege to) see her. She further added that whenever Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) slaughtered a sheep, he said: Send it to the companions of Khadija I annoyed him one day and said: (It is) Khadija only who always prevails upon your mind. Thereupon Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) said: Her love had been nurtured in my heart by Allah Himself.

حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ وَأَبُو کُرَيْبٍ جَمِيعًا عَنْ أَبِي مُعَاوِيَةَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ نَحْوَ حَدِيثِ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ إِلَی قِصَّةِ الشَّاةِ وَلَمْ يَذْکُرْ الزِّيَادَةَ بَعْدَهَا

This hadith has been transmitted on the authority of Abu Usama up to the slaughtering of a sheep, but he. did not make mention of the subsequent words.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ مَا غِرْتُ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَی امْرَأَةٍ مِنْ نِسَائِهِ مَا غِرْتُ عَلَی خَدِيجَةَ لِکَثْرَةِ ذِکْرِهِ إِيَّاهَا وَمَا رَأَيْتُهَا قَطُّ

A'isha reported: Never did I feel jealous of any wife amongst the wives of Allah's Apostle ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) as I feel in case of Khadija (though I had never seen her), for he praised her very often.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ لَمْ يَتَزَوَّجْ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَی خَدِيجَةَ حَتَّی مَاتَتْ

A'isha reported that Allah's Apostle ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) did not marry any other woman till her (Khadija's) death.

حَدَّثَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ اسْتَأْذَنَتْ هَالَةُ بِنْتُ خُوَيْلِدٍ أُخْتُ خَدِيجَةَ عَلَی رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَعَرَفَ اسْتِئْذَانَ خَدِيجَةَ فَارْتَاحَ لِذَلِکَ فَقَالَ اللَّهُمَّ هَالَةُ بِنْتُ خُوَيْلِدٍ فَغِرْتُ فَقُلْتُ وَمَا تَذْکُرُ مِنْ عَجُوزٍ مِنْ عَجَائِزِ قُرَيْشٍ حَمْرَائِ الشِّدْقَيْنِ هَلَکَتْ فِي الدَّهْرِ فَأَبْدَلَکَ اللَّهُ خَيْرًا مِنْهَا

A'isha reported that Hala b. Khuwailid (sister of Khadija) sought permission from Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) to see him and he was reminded of Khadija's (manner of) asking leave to enter and (was overwhelmed) with emotions thereby and said: O Allah, it is Hala, daughter of Khuwailid, and I felt jealous and said: Why do you remember one of those old women of the Quraish with gums red and who is long dead-while Allah has given you a better one in her stead?

حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ وَأَبُو الرَّبِيعِ جَمِيعًا عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ وَاللَّفْظُ لِأَبِي الرَّبِيعِ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُرِيتُکِ فِي الْمَنَامِ ثَلَاثَ لَيَالٍ جَائَنِي بِکِ الْمَلَکُ فِي سَرَقَةٍ مِنْ حَرِيرٍ فَيَقُولُ هَذِهِ امْرَأَتُکَ فَأَکْشِفُ عَنْ وَجْهِکِ فَإِذَا أَنْتِ هِيَ فَأَقُولُ إِنْ يَکُ هَذَا مِنْ عِنْدِ اللَّهِ يُمْضِهِ

A'isha reported Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) having said: I saw you in a dream for three nights when an angel brought you to me in a silk cloth and he said: Here is your wife, and when I removed (the cloth) from your face, lo, it was yourself, so I said: If this is from Allah, let Him carry it out.

حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ إِدْرِيسَ ح و حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو کُرَيْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ جَمِيعًا عَنْ هِشَامٍ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ نَحْوَهُ

This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Hisham with the same chain of transmitters.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَکْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَ وَجَدْتُ فِي کِتَابِي عَنْ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ ح و حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو کُرَيْبٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَائِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنِّي لَأَعْلَمُ إِذَا کُنْتِ عَنِّي رَاضِيَةً وَإِذَا کُنْتِ عَلَيَّ غَضْبَی قَالَتْ فَقُلْتُ وَمِنْ أَيْنَ تَعْرِفُ ذَلِکَ قَالَ أَمَّا إِذَا کُنْتِ عَنِّي رَاضِيَةً فَإِنَّکِ تَقُولِينَ لَا وَرَبِّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَإِذَا کُنْتِ غَضْبَی قُلْتِ لَا وَرَبِّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَتْ قُلْتُ أَجَلْ وَاللَّهِ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا أَهْجُرُ إِلَّا اسْمَکَ

A'isha reported: Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) said to me: I can well discern when you are pleased with me and when you are annoyed with me. I said: How do you discern it? Thereupon be said: When you are pleased with me you say; No, by the Lord of Muhammad, and when you are annoyed with me, you say: No, by the Lord of Ibrahim. I said: Allah's Messenger, by Allah, I in fact leave your name (when I am annoyed with you).

و حَدَّثَنَاه ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ إِلَی قَوْلِهِ لَا وَرَبِّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَلَمْ يَذْکُرْ مَا بَعْدَهُ

This hadith has been reported on the authority of Hishim b. 'Urwa with the same chain of transmitters up to the words: No, by the Lord of Ibrahim, and he did not make mention of what follows subsequently.

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَی بْنُ يَحْيَی أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أَنَّهَا کَانَتْ تَلْعَبُ بِالْبَنَاتِ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَتْ وَکَانَتْ تَأْتِينِي صَوَاحِبِي فَکُنَّ يَنْقَمِعْنَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَتْ فَکَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُسَرِّبُهُنَّ إِلَيَّ

A'isha reported that she used to play with dolls in the presence of Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) and when her playmates came to her they left (the house) because they felt shy of Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ), whereas Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) sent them to her.

حَدَّثَنَاه أَبُو کُرَيْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ح و حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ ح و حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ کُلُّهُمْ عَنْ هِشَامٍ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ وَقَالَ فِي حَدِيثِ جَرِيرٍ کُنْتُ أَلْعَبُ بِالْبَنَاتِ فِي بَيْتِهِ وَهُنَّ اللُّعَبُ

This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Hisham with the same chain of transmitters with a slight variation of wording.
