Sahih Bukhari

قَالَ سَالِمٌ:‏‏‏‏ فَسَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ انْطَلَقَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأُبَيُّ بْنُ كَعْبٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ يَؤُمَّانِ النَّخْلَ الَّتِي فِيهَا ابْنُ صَيَّادٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَتَّى إِذَا دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ طَفِقَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَتَّقِي بِجُذُوعِ النَّخْلِ وَهُوَ يَخْتِلُ أَنْ يَسْمَعَ مِنَ ابْنِ صَيَّادٍ شَيْئًا قَبْلَ أَنْ يَرَاهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَابْنُ صَيَّادٍ مُضْطَجِعٌ عَلَى فِرَاشِهِ فِي قَطِيفَةٍ لَهُ فِيهَا رَمْرَمَةٌ أَوْ زَمْزَمَةٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَرَأَتْ أُمُّ ابْنِ صَيَّادٍ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَتَّقِي بِجُذُوعِ النَّخْلِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَتْ لِابْنِ صَيَّادٍ:‏‏‏‏ أَيْ صَافِ وَهُوَ اسْمُهُ هَذَا مُحَمَّدٌ فَتَنَاهَى ابْنُ صَيَّادٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ لَوْ تَرَكَتْهُ بَيَّنَ.

Abdullah bin `Umar added: Later on Allah's Apostle and Ubai bin Ka`b Al-Ansari (once again) went to the garden in which Ibn Saiyad was present. When Allah's Apostle entered the garden, he started hiding behind the trunks of the date-palms intending to hear something from Ibn Saiyad before the latter could see him. Ibn Saiyad was Lying on his bed, covered with a velvet sheet from where his mumur were heard. Ibn Saiyad's mother saw the Prophet and said, "O Saf (the nickname of Ibn Saiyad)! Here is Muhammad!" Ibn Saiyad stopped his murmuring. The Prophet said, "If his mother had kept quiet, then I would have learnt more about him."

عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ← سَالِمٍ

قَالَ سَالِمٌ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ:‏‏‏‏ قَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي النَّاسِ فَأَثْنَى عَلَى اللَّهِ بِمَا هُوَ أَهْلُهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ الدَّجَّالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ "إِنِّي أُنْذِرُكُمُوهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمَا مِنْ نَبِيٍّ إِلَّا وَقَدْ أَنْذَرَهُ قَوْمَهُ لَقَدْ أَنْذَرَهُ نُوحٌ قَوْمَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَكِنِّي سَأَقُولُ لَكُمْ فِيهِ قَوْلًا لَمْ يَقُلْهُ نَبِيٌّ لِقَوْمِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏تَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّهُ أَعْوَرُ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ لَيْسَ بِأَعْوَرَ"قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد اللَّهِ:‏‏‏‏ خَسَأْتُ الْكَلْبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏بَعَّدْتُهُ خَاسِئِينَ مُبْعَدِينَ.

Abdullah added: Allah's Apostle stood up before the people (delivering a sermon), and after praising and glorifying Allah as He deserved, he mentioned the Ad-Dajjal saying, "I warn you against him, and there has been no prophet but warned his followers against him. Noah warned his followers against him but I am telling you about him, something which no prophet has told his people of, and that is: Know that he is blind in one eye where as Allah is not so."

حَدَّثَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مَيْسَرَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو التَّيَّاحِ عَنْ أَبِي جَمْرَةَ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ لَمَّا قَدِمَ وَفْدُ عَبْدِ الْقَيْسِ عَلَی النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَرْحَبًا بِالْوَفْدِ الَّذِينَ جَائُوا غَيْرَ خَزَايَا وَلَا نَدَامَی فَقَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّا حَيٌّ مِنْ رَبِيعَةَ وَبَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَکَ مُضَرُ وَإِنَّا لَا نَصِلُ إِلَيْکَ إِلَّا فِي الشَّهْرِ الْحَرَامِ فَمُرْنَا بِأَمْرٍ فَصْلٍ نَدْخُلُ بِهِ الْجَنَّةَ وَنَدْعُو بِهِ مَنْ وَرَائَنَا فَقَالَ أَرْبَعٌ وَأَرْبَعٌ أَقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَآتُوا الزَّکَاةَ وَصُومُوا رَمَضَانَ وَأَعْطُوا خُمُسَ مَا غَنِمْتُمْ وَلَا تَشْرَبُوا فِي الدُّبَّائِ وَالْحَنْتَمِ وَالنَّقِيرِ وَالْمُزَفَّتِ

Narrated Ibn `Abbas: When the delegation of `Abdul Qais came to the Prophet, he said, "Welcome, O the delegation who have come! Neither you will have disgrace, nor you will regret." They said, "O Allah's Apostle! We are a group from the tribe of Ar-Rabi`a, and between you and us there is the tribe of Mudar and we cannot come to you except in the sacred months. So please order us to do something good (religious deeds) so that we may enter Paradise by doing that, and also that we may order our people who are behind us (whom we have left behind at home) to follow it." He said, "Four and four:" offer prayers perfectly , pay the Zakat, (obligatory charity), fast the month of Ramadan, and give one-fifth of the war booty (in Allah's cause), and do not drink in (containers called) Ad-Duba,' Al-Hantam, An-Naqir and Al-Muzaffat."

ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ← أَبِي جَمْرَةَ ← أَبُو التَّيَّاحِ، ← عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ ← عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مَيْسَرَةَ،

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَی عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ الْغَادِرَ يُرْفَعُ لَهُ لِوَائٌ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يُقَالُ هَذِهِ غَدْرَةُ فُلَانِ بْنِ فُلَانٍ

Narrated Ibn `Umar: The Prophet said, "For every betrayer (perfidious person), a flag will be raised on the Day of Resurrection, and it will be announced (publicly) 'This is the betrayal (perfidy) of so-and-so, the son of so-and-so.' "

ابْنِ عُمَرَ ← نَافِعٍ ← عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ← يَحْيَى ← مُسَدَّدٌ

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ عَنْ مَالِکٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ الْغَادِرَ يُنْصَبُ لَهُ لِوَائٌ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَيُقَالُ هَذِهِ غَدْرَةُ فُلَانِ بْنِ فُلَانٍ

Narrated Ibn `Umar: Allah's Apostle said, "A flag will be fixed on the Day of Resurrection for every betrayer, and it will be announced (publicly in front of everybody), 'This is the betrayal (perfidy) so-and-so, the son of soand- so."

ابْنِ عُمَرَ ← عَبْدُ اللہِ بْنُ دِینَارٍ ← مَالِكٍ، ← عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ،

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا يَقُولَنَّ أَحَدُکُمْ خَبُثَتْ نَفْسِي وَلَکِنْ لِيَقُلْ لَقِسَتْ نَفْسِي

Narrated `Aisha: The Prophet said, "None of you should say Khabuthat Nafsi, but he is recommended to say 'Laqisat Nafsi."

عَائِشَةَ ← أَبِيهِ ← هِشَامٍ ← سُفْيَانَ، ← مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ،

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ بْنِ سَهْلٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا يَقُولَنَّ أَحَدُکُمْ خَبُثَتْ نَفْسِي وَلَکِنْ لِيَقُلْ لَقِسَتْ نَفْسِي

Narrated Sal: The Prophet said, "None of you should say Khabuthat Nafsi but he is recommended to say 'Laqisat Nafsi (See Hadith No. 202)

أَبِيهِ ← أَبِي أُمَامَةَ بْنِ سَهْلٍ، ← الزُّهْرِيِّ، ← يونس، ← عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ← عَبْدَانُ،

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَی بْنُ بُکَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ اللَّهُ يَسُبُّ بَنُو آدَمَ الدَّهْرَ وَأَنَا الدَّهْرُ بِيَدِي اللَّيْلُ وَالنَّهَارُ

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "Allah said, "The offspring of Adam abuse the Dahr (Time), and I am the Dahr; in My Hands are the night and the day." !

أَبُو سَلَمَةَ ← ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، ← يونس، ← اللَّيْثُ ← يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ

حَدَّثَنَا عَيَّاشُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَی حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا تُسَمُّوا الْعِنَبَ الْکَرْمَ وَلَا تَقُولُوا خَيْبَةَ الدَّهْرِ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الدَّهْرُ

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "Don't call the grapes Al-Karm, and don't say 'Khaibat-ad-Dahri, for Allah is the Dahr. (See Hadith No. 202.)

أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ← اَبِیْ سَلَمَۃَ ← الزُّهْرِيِّ، ← مَعْمَرٌ، ← عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى ← عَيَّاشُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ،

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَيَقُولُونَ الْکَرْمُ إِنَّمَا الْکَرْمُ قَلْبُ الْمُؤْمِنِ

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "They say Al-Karm (the generous), and in fact Al-Karm is the heart of a believer."

أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ← سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، ← الزُّهْرِيِّ، ← سُفْيَانَ، ← عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ،

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَی عَنْ سُفْيَانَ حَدَّثَنِي سَعْدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ مَا سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُفَدِّي أَحَدًا غَيْرَ سَعْدٍ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ ارْمِ فَدَاکَ أَبِي وَأُمِّي أَظُنُّهُ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ

Narrated `Ali: I never heard Allah's Apostle saying, "Let my father and mother be sacrificed for you," except for Sa`d (bin Abi Waqqas). I heard him saying, "Throw! (arrows), Let my father and mother be sacrificed for you !" (The sub-narrator added, "I think that was in the battle of Uhud.")

عَلِيٍّ، ← عَبْدِ اللہِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ ← سَعْدِ بْنِ إبراهيم ← سُفْيَانَ، ← يَحْيَى ← مُسَدَّدٌ

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَی بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِکٍ أَنَّهُ أَقْبَلَ هُوَ وَأَبُو طَلْحَةَ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَمَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَفِيَّةُ مُرْدِفُهَا عَلَی رَاحِلَتِهِ فَلَمَّا کَانُوا بِبَعْضِ الطَّرِيقِ عَثَرَتْ النَّاقَةُ فَصُرِعَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالْمَرْأَةُ وَأَنَّ أَبَا طَلْحَةَ قَالَ أَحْسِبُ اقْتَحَمَ عَنْ بَعِيرِهِ فَأَتَی رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ جَعَلَنِي اللَّهُ فِدَاکَ هَلْ أَصَابَکَ مِنْ شَيْئٍ قَالَ لَا وَلَکِنْ عَلَيْکَ بِالْمَرْأَةِ فَأَلْقَی أَبُو طَلْحَةَ ثَوْبَهُ عَلَی وَجْهِهِ فَقَصَدَ قَصْدَهَا فَأَلْقَی ثَوْبَهُ عَلَيْهَا فَقَامَتْ الْمَرْأَةُ فَشَدَّ لَهُمَا عَلَی رَاحِلَتِهِمَا فَرَکِبَا فَسَارُوا حَتَّی إِذَا کَانُوا بِظَهْرِ الْمَدِينَةِ أَوْ قَالَ أَشْرَفُوا عَلَی الْمَدِينَةِ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ آيِبُونَ تَائِبُونَ عَابِدُونَ لِرَبِّنَا حَامِدُونَ فَلَمْ يَزَلْ يَقُولُهَا حَتَّی دَخَلَ الْمَدِينَةَ

Narrated Anas bin Malik: That he and Abu Talha were coming in the company of the Prophet towards Medina), while Safiya (the Prophet's wife) was riding behind him on his she-camel. After they had covered a portion of the way suddenly the foot of the she-camel slipped and both the Prophet and the woman (i.e., his wife, Safiya) fell down. Abu Talha jumped quickly off his camel and came to the Prophet (saying.) "O Allah's Apostle! Let Allah sacrifice me for you! Have you received any injury?" The Prophet said, "No, but take care of the woman (my wife)." Abu Talha covered his face with his garment and went towards her and threw his garment over her. Then the woman got up and Abu Talha prepared their she camel (by tightening its saddle, etc.) and both of them (the Prophet and Safiya) mounted it. Then all of them proceeded and when they approached near Medina, or saw Medina, the Prophet said, "Ayibun,' abidun, taibun, liRabbina hamidun (We are coming back (to Medina) with repentance, worshipping (our Lord) and celebrating His (our Lord's) praises". The Prophet continued repeating these words till he entered the city of Medina.

اَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِکٍ، ← يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ← بِشْرُ بْنُ الْمُفَضَّلِ، ← عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ،
