حَدَّثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الزُّهْرِيَّ يَقُولُ أَخْبَرَنِي عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ سَمِعَ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ عَلَی الْمِنْبَرِ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ لَا تُطْرُونِي کَمَا أَطْرَتْ النَّصَارَی ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ فَإِنَّمَا أَنَا عَبْدُهُ فَقُولُوا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولُهُ

Narrated Abu Musa Al-Ash`ari: Allah's Apostle said, "If a person teaches his slave girl good manners properly, educates her properly, and then manumits and marries her, he will get a double reward. And if a man believes in Jesus and then believes in me, he will get a double reward. And if a slave fears his Lord (i.e. Allah) and obeys his masters, he too will get a double reward."

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُقَاتِلٍ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَنَا صَالِحُ بْنُ حَيٍّ أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَهْلِ خُرَاسَانَ قَالَ لِلشَّعْبِيِّ فَقَالَ الشَّعْبِيُّ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو بُرْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَی الْأَشْعَرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَدَّبَ الرَّجُلُ أَمَتَهُ فَأَحْسَنَ تَأْدِيبَهَا وَعَلَّمَهَا فَأَحْسَنَ تَعْلِيمَهَا ثُمَّ أَعْتَقَهَا فَتَزَوَّجَهَا کَانَ لَهُ أَجْرَانِ وَإِذَا آمَنَ بِعِيسَی ثُمَّ آمَنَ بِي فَلَهُ أَجْرَانِ وَالْعَبْدُ إِذَا اتَّقَی رَبَّهُ وَأَطَاعَ مَوَالِيَهُ فَلَهُ أَجْرَانِ

Narrted Ibn `Abbas: Allah's Apostle said, "You will be resurrected (and assembled) bare-footed, naked and uncircumcised." The Prophet then recited the Divine Verse:-- "As We began the first creation, We shall repeat it: A promise We have undertaken. Truly we shall do it." (21.104) He added, "The first to be dressed will be Abraham. Then some of my companions will take to the right and to the left. I will say: 'My companions! 'It will be said, 'They had been renegades since you left them.' I will then say what the Pious Slave Jesus, the son of Mary said: 'And I was a witness over them while I dwelt amongst them; when You did take me up, You were the Watcher over them, and You are a Witness to all things. If You punish them, they are Your slaves, and if you forgive them, You, only You are the All-Mighty the All-Wise.' " (5.117-118) Narrated Quaggas, "Those were the apostates who renegade from Islam during the Caliphate of Abu Bakr who fought them".

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ النُّعْمَانِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تُحْشَرُونَ حُفَاةً عُرَاةً غُرْلًا ثُمَّ قَرَأَ کَمَا بَدَأْنَا أَوَّلَ خَلْقٍ نُعِيدُهُ وَعْدًا عَلَيْنَا إِنَّا کُنَّا فَاعِلِينَ فَأَوَّلُ مَنْ يُکْسَی إِبْرَاهِيمُ ثُمَّ يُؤْخَذُ بِرِجَالٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِي ذَاتَ الْيَمِينِ وَذَاتَ الشِّمَالِ فَأَقُولُ أَصْحَابِي فَيُقَالُ إِنَّهُمْ لَمْ يَزَالُوا مُرْتَدِّينَ عَلَی أَعْقَابِهِمْ مُنْذُ فَارَقْتَهُمْ فَأَقُولُ کَمَا قَالَ الْعَبْدُ الصَّالِحُ عِيسَی ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ وَکُنْتُ عَلَيْهِمْ شَهِيدًا مَا دُمْتُ فِيهِمْ فَلَمَّا تَوَفَّيْتَنِي کُنْتَ أَنْتَ الرَّقِيبَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَأَنْتَ عَلَی کُلِّ شَيْئٍ شَهِيدٌ إِنْ تُعَذِّبْهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ عِبَادُکَ وَإِنْ تَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ فَإِنَّکَ أَنْتَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَکِيمُ قَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْفَرَبْرِيُّ ذُکِرَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ قَبِيصَةَ قَالَ هُمْ الْمُرْتَدُّونَ الَّذِينَ ارْتَدُّوا عَلَی عَهْدِ أَبِي بَکْرٍ فَقَاتَلَهُمْ أَبُو بَکْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, "By Him in Whose Hands my soul is, surely (Jesus,) the son of Mary will soon descend amongst you and will judge mankind justly (as a Just Ruler); he will break the Cross and kill the pigs and there will be no Jizya (i.e. taxation taken from non Muslims). Money will be in abundance so that nobody will accept it, and a single prostration to Allah (in prayer) will be better than the whole world and whatever is in it." Abu Huraira added "If you wish, you can recite (this verse of the Holy Book): -- 'And there is none Of the people of the Scriptures (Jews and Christians) But must believe in him (i.e Jesus as an Apostle of Allah and a human being) Before his death. And on the Day of Judgment He will be a witness Against them." (4.159) (See Fath-ul-Bari, Page 302 Vol 7)

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ صَالِحٍ عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ أَنَّ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيَّبِ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَيُوشِکَنَّ أَنْ يَنْزِلَ فِيکُمْ ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ حَکَمًا عَدْلًا فَيَکْسِرَ الصَّلِيبَ وَيَقْتُلَ الْخِنْزِيرَ وَيَضَعَ الْجِزْيَةَ وَيَفِيضَ الْمَالُ حَتَّی لَا يَقْبَلَهُ أَحَدٌ حَتَّی تَکُونَ السَّجْدَةُ الْوَاحِدَةُ خَيْرًا مِنْ الدُّنْيَا وَمَا فِيهَا ثُمَّ يَقُولُ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ وَاقْرَئُوا إِنْ شِئْتُمْ وَإِنْ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْکِتَابِ إِلَّا لَيُؤْمِنَنَّ بِهِ قَبْلَ مَوْتِهِ وَيَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يَکُونُ عَلَيْهِمْ شَهِيدًا

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said "How will you be when the son of Mary (i.e. Jesus) descends amongst you and he will judge people by the Law of the Qur'an and not by the law of Gospel (Fateh-ul Bari page 304 and 305 Vol 7).

حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ بُکَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ مَوْلَی أَبِي قَتَادَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ أَنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ کَيْفَ أَنْتُمْ إِذَا نَزَلَ ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ فِيکُمْ وَإِمَامُکُمْ مِنْکُمْ تَابَعَهُ عُقَيْلٌ وَالْأَوْزَاعِيُّ

Narrated Rabi bin Hirash: `Uqba bin `Amr said to Hudhaifa, "Won't you relate to us of what you have heard from Allah's Apostle ?" He said, "I heard him saying, "When Al-Dajjal appears, he will have fire and water along with him. What the people will consider as cold water, will be fire that will burn (things). So, if anyone of you comes across this, he should fall in the thing which will appear to him as fire, for in reality, it will be fresh cold water."

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَی بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِکِ عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ حِرَاشٍ قَالَ قَالَ عُقْبَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو لِحُذَيْفَةَ أَلَا تُحَدِّثُنَا مَا سَمِعْتَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ إِنَّ مَعَ الدَّجَّالِ إِذَا خَرَجَ مَائً وَنَارًا فَأَمَّا الَّذِي يَرَی النَّاسُ أَنَّهَا النَّارُ فَمَائٌ بَارِدٌ وَأَمَّا الَّذِي يَرَی النَّاسُ أَنَّهُ مَائٌ بَارِدٌ فَنَارٌ تُحْرِقُ فَمَنْ أَدْرَکَ مِنْکُمْ فَلْيَقَعْ فِي الَّذِي يَرَی أَنَّهَا نَارٌ فَإِنَّهُ عَذْبٌ بَارِدٌ قَالَ حُذَيْفَةُ وَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ إِنَّ رَجُلًا کَانَ فِيمَنْ کَانَ قَبْلَکُمْ أَتَاهُ الْمَلَکُ لِيَقْبِضَ رُوحَهُ فَقِيلَ لَهُ هَلْ عَمِلْتَ مِنْ خَيْرٍ قَالَ مَا أَعْلَمُ قِيلَ لَهُ انْظُرْ قَالَ مَا أَعْلَمُ شَيْئًا غَيْرَ أَنِّي کُنْتُ أُبَايِعُ النَّاسَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَأُجَازِيهِمْ فَأُنْظِرُ الْمُوسِرَ وَأَتَجَاوَزُ عَنْ الْمُعْسِرِ فَأَدْخَلَهُ اللَّهُ الْجَنَّةَ فَقَالَ وَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ إِنَّ رَجُلًا حَضَرَهُ الْمَوْتُ فَلَمَّا يَئِسَ مِنْ الْحَيَاةِ أَوْصَی أَهْلَهُ إِذَا أَنَا مُتُّ فَاجْمَعُوا لِي حَطَبًا کَثِيرًا وَأَوْقِدُوا فِيهِ نَارًا حَتَّی إِذَا أَکَلَتْ لَحْمِي وَخَلَصَتْ إِلَی عَظْمِي فَامْتُحِشَتْ فَخُذُوهَا فَاطْحَنُوهَا ثُمَّ انْظُرُوا يَوْمًا رَاحًا فَاذْرُوهُ فِي الْيَمِّ فَفَعَلُوا فَجَمَعَهُ اللَّهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ لِمَ فَعَلْتَ ذَلِکَ قَالَ مِنْ خَشْيَتِکَ فَغَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَهُ قَالَ عُقْبَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو وَأَنَا سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ ذَاکَ وَکَانَ نَبَّاشًا

Hudhaifa added, "I also heard him saying, 'From among the people preceding your generation, there was a man whom the angel of death visited to capture his soul. (So his soul was captured) and he was asked if he had done any good deed.' He replied, 'I don't remember any good deed.' He was asked to think it over. He said, 'I do not remember, except that I used to trade with the people in the world and I used to give a respite to the rich and forgive the poor (among my debtors). So Allah made him enter Paradise."

قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حُذَيْفَةُ وَسَمِعْتُهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ رَجُلًا كَانَ فِيمَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ أَتَاهُ الْمَلَكُ لِيَقْبِضَ رُوحَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقِيلَ لَهُ:‏‏‏‏ هَلْ عَمِلْتَ مِنْ خَيْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَا أَعْلَمُ قِيلَ لَهُ انْظُرْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَا أَعْلَمُ شَيْئًا غَيْرَ أَنِّي كُنْتُ أُبَايِعُ النَّاسَ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَأُجَازِيهِمْ فَأُنْظِرُ الْمُوسِرَ وَأَتَجَاوَزُ عَنِ الْمُعْسِرِ فَأَدْخَلَهُ اللَّهُ الْجَنَّةَ.

Hudhaifa further said, "I also heard him saying, 'Once there was a man on his death-bed, who, losing every hope of surviving said to his family: When I die, gather for me a large heap of wood and make a fire (to burn me). When the fire eats my meat and reaches my bones, and when the bones burn, take and crush them into powder and wait for a windy day to throw it (i.e. the powder) over the sea. They did so, but Allah collected his particles and asked him: Why did you do so? He replied: For fear of You. So Allah forgave him." `Uqba bin `Amr said, "I heard him saying that the Israeli used to dig the grave of the dead (to steal their shrouds).

فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَسَمِعْتُهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ رَجُلًا حَضَرَهُ الْمَوْتُ فَلَمَّا يَئِسَ مِنَ الْحَيَاةِ أَوْصَى أَهْلَهُ إِذَا أَنَا مُتُّ فَاجْمَعُوا لِي حَطَبًا كَثِيرًا وَأَوْقِدُوا فِيهِ نَارًا حَتَّى إِذَا أَكَلَتْ لَحْمِي وَخَلَصَتْ إِلَى عَظْمِي فَامْتُحِشَتْ فَخُذُوهَا فَاطْحَنُوهَا ثُمَّ انْظُرُوا يَوْمًا رَاحًا فَاذْرُوهُ فِي الْيَمِّ فَفَعَلُوا فَجَمَعَهُ اللَّهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ لَهُ:‏‏‏‏ لِمَ فَعَلْتَ ذَلِكَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مِنْ خَشْيَتِكَ فَغَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ عُقْبَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو:‏‏‏‏ وَأَنَا سَمِعْتُهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ ذَاكَ وَكَانَ نَبَّاشًا".

Narrated `Aisha and Ibn `Abbas: On his death-bed Allah's Apostle put a sheet over his-face and when he felt hot, he would remove it from his face. When in that state (of putting and removing the sheet) he said, "May Allah's Curse be on the Jews and the Christians for they build places of worship at the graves of their prophets." (By that) he intended to warn (the Muslim) from what they (i.e. Jews and Christians) had done.

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "The Israelis used to be ruled and guided by prophets: Whenever a prophet died, another would take over his place. There will be no prophet after me, but there will be Caliphs who will increase in number." The people asked, "O Allah's Apostle! What do you order us (to do)?" He said, "Obey the one who will be given the pledge of allegiance first. Fulfil their (i.e. the Caliphs) rights, for Allah will ask them about (any shortcoming) in ruling those Allah has put under their guardianship."

حَدَّثَنِا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ فُرَاتٍ الْقَزَّازِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا حَازِمٍ قَالَ قَاعَدْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ خَمْسَ سِنِينَ فَسَمِعْتُهُ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ کَانَتْ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ تَسُوسُهُمْ الْأَنْبِيَائُ کُلَّمَا هَلَکَ نَبِيٌّ خَلَفَهُ نَبِيٌّ وَإِنَّهُ لَا نَبِيَّ بَعْدِي وَسَيَکُونُ خُلَفَائُ فَيَکْثُرُونَ قَالُوا فَمَا تَأْمُرُنَا قَالَ فُوا بِبَيْعَةِ الْأَوَّلِ فَالْأَوَّلِ أَعْطُوهُمْ حَقَّهُمْ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ سَائِلُهُمْ عَمَّا اسْتَرْعَاهُمْ

Narrated Abu Sa`id: The Prophet said, "You will follow the wrong ways, of your predecessors so completely and literally that if they should go into the hole of a mastigure, you too will go there." We said, "O Allah's Apostle! Do you mean the Jews and the Christians?" He replied, "Whom else?" (Meaning, of course, the Jews and the Christians.)

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو غَسَّانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي زَيْدُ بْنُ أَسْلَمَ عَنْ عَطَائِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّی اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَتَتَّبِعُنَّ سَنَنَ مَنْ قَبْلَکُمْ شِبْرًا بِشِبْرٍ وَذِرَاعًا بِذِرَاعٍ حَتَّی لَوْ سَلَکُوا جُحْرَ ضَبٍّ لَسَلَکْتُمُوهُ قُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ الْيَهُودَ وَالنَّصَارَی قَالَ فَمَنْ

Narrated Anas: The people mentioned the fire and the bell (as means proposed for announcing the time of prayer) and by such a suggestion they referred to the Jews and the Christians. But Bilal was ordered, "Pronounce the words of the Adhan (i.e. call for the prayer) twice and the Iqama once only."
